OK, so how is this thing going to work? I assume that it'll be a decoration and that it will only work when placed somewhere on a lot. Is this correct? Let's say I'm the co-owner of a lot and I place the thing on that lot. Will I be able to access my bank? Or, will only the lot owner be able to access his bank? Will anyone with sufficient permission to the device be able to access their bank?

[edit] Oh yeah, what will it look like? A safe?

Or will it be something you wear and gives access to the bank in the town you're in?

I'd really like to be able to try it out on QA.

It is a placeable decoration that anyone with lot permissions can access. Access permissions can be set up on the device just like any other placeable decoration.

It looks like a safe with some Kobold tech built onto it.

Is it remotely accessing the bank in that town...or all banks?

Damn clever those Kobolds! (But isn't it a bit like using an automatic teller machine built by the NSA?)

So any guess how many people will set up local banks in different parts of their town?

I'll definitely put one of these in my house, as it pretty far from the bank.

It looks like the secret to the device has something to do with Beetlejuice's socks! I know the secret!

@Berek @DarkStarr will it stay like that or will we see remote access to all banks through the backdoor and by that the death of the local economy idea?

I see this as a Add On Store / Telethon Reward immediate access gratification.

Purchased and reward items are available for the local bank as they are global.

Doesn't mean that this isn't going change in the future. The fact that they exist already has an impact. Lot placement for example lost a portion of its meaning.

The Bank Access Device is effectively an additional banker NPC - something that some POTs already have. Instead of being a POT "decoration" it must by placed on a lot. Nevertheless it behaves in exactly the same way as those additional banker NPCs. I don't believe there is any cause for concern.
