Things that are Fun

Seems like it would be helpful for the community and the developers to have a thread where players can identify things that they have found fun in the game. These may turn out to be good suggestions for other players and give developers information about things that players like. The important thing is that comments are restricted to ONLY about how a player has found fun.

I'll start out:

I find it really fun to build and improve decks. It is even more fun to have more decks to work on this with.

 

I find it fun when I find a recipe as a drop from a monster !

 

I agree and will add to this :

I really enjoy the graphics and although others may think differently, some of the new, uncloned scenes are just visually breathtaking. I am also thankful that they have listened to us about getting more story driven content and quests into the game by hiring a new programmer focused solely on this.

 

The scenery in many biomes can be breath taking during sun rise/set. Well.. when it's not super laggy or under heavy loaded, of course.

Some times I just sit down somewhere in-game and facing the open sky. Leave it on like a screen saver while doing works/study on other screens.

 

I have fun:
-Crafting new recipes, particularly new deco items
-Growing plants
-Exploring new areas for the first time
-Building a single, inefficient but passable deck so I don't have to waste time deck building
-Buying pledge items for in game gold
-Making a sale on my vendor (though that kinda depends on you people ).

 

While development seems tedious/frustrating for some I like going into an area I haven't visited in a while and seeing the new changes.
I like learning to craft new stuff.
I like killing monsters.

Roleplay of course
Writing books of course

It's still the best game for decades for me!!!

 

I just crafted a piano and bought a piece of music to play on it the other day. Really cool feature that made me smile.

 

I used to have fun grouping.

 

I find mining fun specially after I sell what I mined and get gold to buy all sorts of things in-game... LOL

 

I've been having fun just living in this new world (harvesting, hunting, exploring, meeting new people, decorating, trading, farming).

I've been having fun looking at this relatively serene world and wondering what type of havoc Port is waiting to unleash. (Obsidian Cabal is already upon us!)

 

I like the radio station in the game. I also enjoyed the radio show with Ezekiel Cooper from BMC on Sunday.

 

Decorating and clothing, or rather exploring them - what can be placed on what, how does lighting reflect, clipping for aesthetic effect, etc.

 

Killing ****!

I enjoy the idea of decks in PVP, but needs work.

I enjoy playing music on youtube and getting drops that mix up the mundane.. (cotos especially)
I enjoy the sheer nonsense that my guilds chat turns into.

 

I like decorating and creating scenes. I like having the assets needed to create a variety of scenes.

 

I enjoy making custom equipment for my guild mates.

 

It's fun to team up with another player(s) and coordinate strategies to overcome a scene.

 

My #1 fun thing for a long long time is Virtue League.

 

I played with an old friend that I haven't played a mmo with in years. He liked the "feel and ambiance" of SotA and found the deck system interesting.
He commented that Soltown Catacombs reminded him of the good times we had running dungeons like RoV when EQ2 first came out. Experiencing this game with an old friend, first time player was fun.

 

I like to group up and adventure with my brothers.
It's fun to leave piles of resources or an artifact for them in their bag.
It's fun to look in my bag and find he crafted me 100 poison potions or a new armor or deco or some such thing.

It's fun to get an artifact or COTO in the loot.
It's fun to group up and own the Rise.
Fun to learn about the game.
It's fun to try and min-max the discovered mechanics
It is pretty enjoyable to follow and be a part of the development.
It's fun to post on the forums while taking a crap on Saturday morning ... ok, well looks like I'm done, keep having fun
