Basically all underground areas where you cant zoom out.

    The vfx is blinding.

+1, this is really a problem in tight spaces - after casting soothing rain you better wait it out ...

And Elysium is bad to me too. That's why when I saw how the meteor showers was animated it made me think that the soothing rain and Elysium could be made more viewable like meteor showers. ;)

Soothing rain and elysian illumination obfuscate my entire screen just about---blind as a bat. I have both but never use them because I cannot see a damned thing if I do. :p

I (personally) would rather them be weaker and less saturated than tote around the excuse they are obtrusive because they are powerful... it's not that difficult to lower particle counts --- literally changing a number or two. o_O

    -coughs- https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/ParticleSystem-particleCount.html -coughs

Going to call shenanigans on this one, for once. There are better ways to dock players for using powerful abilities, like high focus costs and cooldowns. The effects are cool but not practical.

I laughed way too hard at that lol...

I just imagine later on there being client-side mods to reduce or remove some overblown effects. For better or worse.

Id like to see the cloud dissipate and just leave puddles of water under the feet for the remainder of the duration of the spell.

I'm 100% ok with the effect as it is now. I view SR as a "downtime" healing spell.

There's another spell (Healing Grace I believe) that is HoT without the effect.

But ya know... since we're spitballing... what if SR added some bonus to evasion or dodge as you are "obscured" by the rain during the duration of the spell provided you don't move? Just a thought.

TY I died yesterday to this exact problem I had rain up, backed into a rock and the camera go so small I could not see out of the crowd and got to the point I could not figure out how to get away from trees, rocks, mobs need to scale opacity to range or do away with it, bad graphics in close.

I think that it would make more sense if, instead of using impaired vision as a downside to balance soothing rain, they just made it stationary instead.

I find the graphic so disrupting that I would NEVER have it in a screenshot to advertise in-game combat, its something I really dislike amd if I was showing a friend good things about the game... its not one I would show.

I only usee it in combination with Ban Undead, does a nice DoT.
The effect is something i like and take as a Feature, although it causes "problems"
But i like "problems" like this.

I recently posted in the Chris Blog Discussion thread thst i love to kite and cast while moving. I always used Icefield.
Now they nerfed it and you need to stand still casting. It's a huge nerf for kite tactics, but i love it somehow because it's challenging.
Meteor Shower is also an AoE what you need to stand still casting. I hope they balance RoF as well and do not allow casting it while moving.
Some Spiders will have fun rooting those fiery Mages and hit them 5-10 times while they try to decimate their Brute.

Those "issues" are more like a Feature than a Problem to me.
