Excellent aspect of equipped backpack

Items in an equipped backpack don't show up in a merchant's "Sell from Inventory" tab. Really excellent way to keep from accidentally selling items.

Dev suggestion (@Berek, maybe you can forward this to the right person): When an item is unequipped (like through the right click menu or when switching decks), how about automatically putting it in the backpack (if one is equipped) instead of in the inventory.

 

sorry for the noob question: what does the Backback exactly do?
additional space but same capacity?

 

It's just a different look but you get a +0.1 dodge bonus instead of the +1.0 Armor Resist (for the crafted backpack anyway).

What does this mean? Is an equipped backpack different from the regular backpack?

I know there's another item called a backpack that you can craft in the game, but I've never figured out how it works/what it does.

 

Would actually be great IMO if you could equip a quiver, and then the game would automatically take arrows from the quiver so you could select which ones you want to use, or equip a reagent pouch to select which ones you want to use, and the game would take reagents from your pouch, equip a coin pouch, etc. But it would need some thought on how to expand bag slots on the inventory, because you wouldn't want to choose one vs the other. Maybe just put back the free bag slots as were in early releases.

Then that could maybe also lead to carrying the tools you want to use in those bag slots, instead of just carrying all your tools at once, and having to go through layers of interface to unequip them.

Not currently. I had to go equip one just to find out if they did or not "But I'd like them too" "I think?"...

Equip, Unequipped...
I mean, I'd actually like the things I have equipped and ready to equip go to and from a backpack instead of into my inventory.
