I understand that all houses will come with a modicum of pre-existing lighting.

I understand that these lights cannot be removed, relocated, or hidden*.

That being said, can we look into limiting the "open flame" light sources in player housing to candles?

My personal example is the Gothic Mansion, which uses wall torches. I would like to be able to use/have lanterns for light sources on the interior of this house, and I can, but I have to have those lights in addition to the wall torches, which is a clash of styles. The same goes if I want to use the new craftable floor/table lamps or any combination of add-on lamp/lantern.

I know that this request doesn't fall into the current schedule, but could it be JIRA'd for a later review?

Thank you for your time, and all the amazing and hard work done daily to make this game the best!

*As I was typing this, it occurred to me that perhaps another option could be to have a checkbox on the house selection part of the lot that states, "turn off static lights" (or similar), that activates a flag on the house to hide all interior light sources that are part of the house. I'm not a programmer, so I don't know if such an option is feasible, but it would serve to allow the existing lighting to remain, and give those of us who want a 100% custom-lit house to have that option.

All lights should be placed off.

Any quantity of light decorations should be allowed.

Quantity of lights on should be what is throttled. (Turn something off to turn something else on if you are at your lot max).

This was talked about in one of the recent telethons and Darkstarr said it was something they were going to look at eventually but wasn't a priority.

Agreed. The viking row houses are annoying bright. I would much prefer adding my own light sources to help set the mood for the room.
