Just found this thread. Been wondering for a while when the minimap would be completed. I'll give this a shot when I get home :D

I've made some headway getting the release version built - but that's just the tip of the iceberg. There are unfortunately additional build steps to compile the package for Unity. Turns out there are a lot of outdated API calls so I'm going to roll back CEF and try a previous branch. I'll keep you guys updated as things progress (or don't).

The source for the unity package depends on cef_runnable.h which was removed in CEF branch 2704. Which means I either refactor the source code for the unity package c++ files (and discover who knows what in the process) or roll back to CEF branch 2623 and see if I can make things work that way. I've started along the 2623 route but it realllllly doesn't like ubuntu 16.06; I setup a virtual machine on 14.04....wish me luck!

There whole CEF project seems like a scary bloat-fest to me.

Strange stuff, how the Mac version work? Would you just not use the same version all around?

It's compiled differently for every platform. The plugin we use comes compiled for Win/OSX but not linux.

    In short: no.

The longer version is I got 2623 to compile on my 14.04 VM but then ran into issues with the Unity package creation, which led me to updating the compiler, which led to CEF then having a bunch of in uninitialized variables in a lot of the constructors, which led to more nightmares. Things are on hold for a while until I can finish up door permissions.

No progress. It is unlikely I will be able to spend much more time on this in the coming weeks. I will however, keep you updated with any progress I make.
