Yes, I was wondering this myself...I want badly to take the 2 days off but just can't afford it. Going to run home that's for sure! (why didn't they keep it up until Sunday night too?)

 

I'm guessing 2.5 hours to go thru everything. Then what ever to play with decorations.

 

I wish I had seen this yesterday evening so I would have the client already downloaded
Instead I will have to download today, test tomorrow. Or Just don't sleep.

 

It makes 100% sense that they want a small hit at first, followed by a larger hit later (5pm CST), followed by a larger hit on Friday and Saturday. Saturday being the largest hit on online players.

The Devs can see how their server can scale up and down.

I switched 1 day of my Christmas vacation to tomorrow just to test SOTA.

 

Oh, downloading another patch ...?

 

Yes, there is a very small new patch this morning, bringing the game to build 46. If you already had 44, it is less than 1 MB download, and hopefully it patches smoothly! The patch client will actually update itself first, to patch client version 52.

 

Patched to 46 with the client crashing once. Restarted and was stuck on 2/6. Restarted launcher and client loaded fine within build 46.

 

All set up after the crash then repatch. Now its just a half hour wait unless some have gotten in and I do not know it yet.

Could we pleas request for release two some volume controls? Is that too much to ask or is it you want to bust ear drums. While I have great support for the game, I can not play it, can not mute the game, without muting my entire audio, which means no chat in various programs, etc... Seriously just a darn lever to lower it about 20db at least....

For me its not that loud? Maybe your pc or if your using a tv needs to be turned down?

 

It was a bit loud to me, too. It was nice, just a tad loud. I simply opened the audio mixer on my taskbar and selectively lowered the SotA sound, only. Works great now.

 

Right click on sound icon and go to playback devises then right click go to properties of the monitor or tv and check levels, enhancements or advanced?
