Any chance getting the actual revised map sans text? :D

The clean one is the same clean one from many months ago, but prior to the revisions.

What other revisions are you referring to?

We know that the longitude and latitude lines have to change, and Stephen has said he needs to fix the map so it matches the references made in BotA. There are also some "missing" icons based on the full reveal from Richard, but it's unclear if they plan on putting every single one of those POIs on the map (I doubt it). Stephen said he'll be working on all those changes all summer and then some.

I think I got the layers mixed up?

NoNames == full jigsaw updated, from the original.

Yeah, the SotA_map_noNames layer is based on the most recent map that matches the jigsaw pieces. It's nearly identical, with the only visible change being the town of Eastmarch slightly offset....based on eyeballing the differences anyways.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I would love the game even more if it didn't have a map at all but was played inside a zone ALWAYS! Imagine the fun complex crazy huge maze that would be...

    If only... ;)

Yeah, it's an oft-requested feature. The ability to travel purely from scene to scene will be required in some areas, so we know it's possible as they have the tech to make it happen. Perhaps as they build out the world and have many more scenes, especially wilderness scenes, they can create a scene connection map and allow you travel by that method.

And oops...I just noticed that I never updated the OP with the new maps of Novia. Will post an update once I update the PSD and upload it to the same location for everyone to play with.

In the latest R26 Hangout, a new version of the map was teased. Unfortunately, the YouTube resolution isn't great, but here's a screenshot:

I didn't see any major changes than the one last one from over a year ago. Minor shifts, as mentioned in the R26 Hangout, and color/icon changes, but let me know if you spot anything else.

Looks like Soltown is settled halfway up river from Solace bridge. And it looks like they made the banner smaller, to reveal the city that was previously beneath the banner.

    Thanks for sharing!

They also need more bridges. And, they should allow players to own stables, so we can have small ponies to ride on the world map. Wouldn't that be super cute. :p

The world seems rather small. I hope there will be more continents.

More continents will come with each subsequent Episode. Eventually the overworld itself will feel large.

Noticed all my image links were broken, so fixed those.

Also, I wonder if we'll ever get an updated / final in-game paper world map? As much as I like SotA Map, it has its specific uses for the community, but I prefer the more tangible in-game paper maps, especially as it is more appropriate for offline mode.

I've asked this before, and the idea is that yes, the overhead map will get a revisit before launch, which will then follow on with the paper/cloth map update. If they were to switch from SotAMap to their own style, this would be the one to use.

@Scottie any chance we can get a high res image of the final cloth map and the unlabeled overhead view of Novia, like the ones you showed at the recent R48 Telethon?

    @smack,

is there somewhere a information, where the borders of all regions are exactly?

    For example:
In QA R52 it is told:
I thought, Northwood would be part of the Regalis Region. And North Paladis would end in the east at Sanctus River.
I asked in Release R52 Post Draft about, but no response until now.

Do you know, where to find an information?

    Thank you! :)

I'm not aware of this info being available anywhere, at least not all of it. There have been some attempts in the past to actually map all the regions by some folks. I've never had the time to do it myself either, especially since the map wasn't final yet.
