When I started in SoTA a long time ago, the new player experience was a bit rough, and I gave up on questing when I ran into bugs.

I'd like to delete my guy and start again in the game. How do you do that? Will all my various Kickstarter rewards transfer to the new character?

    Thanks!

I believe with the new release today you can re-set the main quest line and begin again that way...

That's great! In the worst case I'll do that. But I'd really like to start again with the experience of a complete n00b.

put everything you have in the bank first. that will carry over. any lots you have claimed will carry over too. for gold, you may have to hand it off to a trusted friend to hold while you reroll. it may be possible to mail it to yourself instead, but i haven't tested that.

If you put all the items in your bank - stuff that you are carrying and wearing and such... and then delete and start over.. the new character will still have access to all the items you put in your bank for safe keeping :)

There should be a cog wheel to the right of your name when you login.

Click on that to reset quest state, then enter your name to reset. It will say if it is reset successfully.

Best wishes on your journey @3dmark . I have heard about many wonderful things happening with questing. The rewards they've added are really so much better than they were. I am still going to hold off though because I still think some of the quests are being updated here and there with feedback from the players. I appreciate that others are testing them and thank them for all their hard work they do for the good of this game.

Regarding gold Hopefully one day we'll be able to put gold in the bank as well. About mailing it to yourself hmmm I am not sure about that either. I would not risk it and true if you do have a friend. I"m sure you could have them hold it for you. :)

Ha ha, you assume I have enough gold to be worth worrying about.

Turns out an awesome way of dealing with excess gold on a character you're deleting is to buy bank slots.
