Why don't doors open outwards?

    Its strange, I have not experienced this (minor) irritation previously in other games. Maybe other games doors aren't 'solid' and pass through you or .. just maybe they open outwards?

    I'm forever clicking doors, moving as if to go forward through said door, and getting battered backwards as it swings inwards. If it opened outwards this would never happen, do they have to open inwards for some technical aspect?

    p.s.why is the water texture so pants in Ardoris? It looks like crazy paving.

    It wouldn't happen going OUT, but then it would happen going IN.
    You'd just be trading one annoyance for another, right ?

    Sometimes in videogames you have to sacrifice 'realism' for gameplay. My personal bet; the design was made to avoid deco issues. Otherwise the door would be inside the deco space. I guess inside space always considered more important.

    There might be more reasons but nothing related with tech I think (technically its something simple). And FrostII is right, there is always one "bad" side :D

    Not really, opening out, as in away from you, from whichever side you are.

    I wish they'd give us the option to toggle the current state of doors, IE autoclose or leave open.
