When you drag an Emote from the Emote Window, there is an Emote Icon similar to a skill card getting visible, but it is not possible to drop it into the hot bar. Will this be possible in the Future?

That's so you can drag it onto the trade window to show another player how to perform the emote.

We need a hidable emote bar, or 2. People are doing theater and such, really needs the utility bar to support it.

Its definitely not just a good feature but I think a necessary feature for a lot of reasons
    - We have functional emotes like the spyglass emote, where it makes sense to hit the hotkey and not type out /spyglass every time.
    - If you want to catch someone's attention as they're passing by, you could press a hotkey instead of typing out /wave.

So its definitely not only for social activities, theater, active roleplay, but normal parts of the gaming experience, too.

I have wondered if it was possible to write speeches and add in emotes at precise times.

I had tried many many releases ago but it only worked so well.

Is this possible now and is there some kind of tutorial for it?

Also is there or will there be a function that allows us to store in folders things we might do and say repeatedly like "Hello %t!"

In another game I had played and I forget which one there was a folder that I could make premade sayings like "Hello %t!" and then I would name it something like H. Then all I would have to do is press CTRL H and whoever I had targeted at the time would equal the T in the %t expression and my toon would say in whatever channel I was on at the time "Hello [Players name]!"

It saves a lot of typing when doing repeated simple things.

Also being able to add emotes to something like that would be very helpful like. "Good day Commander %t /salute" and then the character says by simply typing CTRL H is "Good Day Commander [Players Name]" with a salute that happens at the same time all by hitting two keys.

    Just an idea

Hejsan my friend %tiphat% (or %wave%)

    I believe it's /em text %emote%, instead of the /me

iirc i read that to use an emote this way in local chat or while describe what you do with /me or /em text plus %emote% in one of the release notes, but nit sure when exactly, maybe r43 or so.

It only works in local or with the /me or /em command, you cannot do it while in group, guild or whatever Chat.
Maybe it also works with zone Chat, but i doubt and never tried it.

I often use it with /me describing of doing something and underline it with an emote.

/me warms his hands at the fire %warmhands %

Gives you a grey text "emote" like
Stundorn Stureson: warms his Hands at the fire.
While your character performs the emote warmhands.
