    Plot Twist: It already has!

LOL. I say that, because the development plans already call for an Episode 2.

Not necessary, but at least those will be interesting to read, people can't anymore say that the game is in early access: wait until it's ready and all your hopes and dreams will be redeemed...

I said Q2. They are very close and just finishing up the polish, as Richard said.

@LoneWerewolf , or should we say now LoneLama? ;)
    I assume: end of Q2 or Beginning of Q3. 30.06.2018 or 01.07.2018.

    @Lord_Darkmoon:
I think, with release date the crowdfunding for Episode 2 will start very soon.
Would make sense to make Episode 2 as soon as possible to release end of 2019 ;)

    @Stundorn:
Why does it matter, what German or other groups or magazines tell us about the game?
A Journalist looks at the game and take his personal feelings.
May be this day he writes about an action game, next day about an ego shooter, and may be the day after tomorrow he writes about a computer mouse or a hard disc or whatever...
We tend to watch a journalist's voice like something special. In fact it is a human like you or me, telling, what he's thinking of something at this moment.
Are we asking: what influenced his thoughts - yet?

    Just one example:
I remember the 80's, where German game tester made bad statements about "Alternate Reality - the City"!
In my opinion the game was absolute great. But they decided it wasn't, because of the "fuzzy" sprites and other things, they thought it should be "better" - for them.
And they didn't mention the positive things of the game: Great sound for this time. There was another sound in each tavern you entered!
What they didn't get also: the deepness of the whole story, and how much fun it was to play ...
And the way, how you could build and form your character with decisions made by meeting a character in the streets, choosing a guild ...

Well, maybe the negative statements were, because the game was designed with priority for ATARI - and also a lot good games for this computer were stated negative.
Not, because of the game, but because these Journalists didn't like the ATARI ....

Three of my nephews played UO hardcore. Not like me. I left because there was no story I liked ...
They play a lot of games! And I tell you - that's true:
    1. They don't play, until it is official released, because: they don't want to play a bugged game!
    2. They don't play, until the german language is available!
And I assume, there are a lot of people like them outside - waiting for a finished game they can play without using a vocabulary book ;)

And: the game we get with launch will not be the same like now, because 4 further releases will change more things as we can see, so much changed the last 6 Releases!
It's finetuning, what was needed. And they started doing this. And I would say: in a really good way.

As Portalarium said, made plans and announced with raising Seed Invest:
They - and their partners - will do marketing around launch date.

We will see what happens. I believe the game will be successful,
because with all the stuff we have inside, it is very unique!
And this is just what is provided for Episode 1!
Someone remember WOW the first time it came to life? Well ...

I also believe, the next Episodes will be done faster, may be 1,5 -1,75 years for each Episode.
    The basic programming is done.

Well, back to the topic - and last words about release date:
There's life in the old dog yet...

Correct me if I'm wrong.. didn't you recently state you were done with it?

In any event fully disagree with you. While things may not be at the level of polish I'd like to see yet... I think the stated direction will indeed result not only in seeing the current account holders sitting in the fence waiting for "launch" but we'll see new players coming.. and staying. Hell man.. UO is still kickin 20 years down the road.... you shoulda seen it at Launch like some of us did.

Can I get an option for, "One month after whatever date they announce on the 14th."?

    Or "July 28th 2016"?

I am looking forward eagerly to launch; I will be pressing the reset button and going through the main quests again.
But I repeat what I stated much earlier
It must be said that this is a niche game, and the hordes of gamers who love a twitch-action shooter lasting 10 minutes may not find it satisfying. But my predictions:
The game will launch to modest success.
As word spreads about its depth and power, the fan base will grow. Like a slow burn.
In time, it could surpass UO in terms of popularity and longevity. But don’t expect it to happen overnight.

Thats something that normal Developer would do. But Portalarium is the next gen Team with revolutionary flexible development that breaks the outdated system! Keeping it in Early Access is the new meta. Beta is a stage off limited time what new players cant experiance anymore after release, they dont wont to take this part out of the game. Thats it why continuous game testing and development is such important.

I hope they delay it again and give us a new announcment for the announcement of the release in summer 2018! Announcements make me so happy. Also, this gives me more time to support the Game via Addon Store, you should check it out while you wait.
