    Here is a VERY early VERY rough draft of the Release 49 Instructions Post. As always this thread is for editing the post itself, clarifying the contents, etc. It is NOT about debating game features, decisions, etc. Please start other threads for that.

    Also as usual the links to instructions and known issues are pointing to R48 so I don't need to be told that. :)

    I also don't need to be reminded about blank areas or places that say <insert more here>. I got those. :)

    Also please DO NOT give feedback on the ORIGINAL text that I cut and paste from the Quarterly Schedule Post. As a rule we never edit the original text. We only put new text afterwards in italics. That way we make sure everyone knows we aren't hiding anything, especially if something is delayed. ;)

    NOTE: Some things listed here are not yet in the build and might NOT make the release!

    Too bad - that quest made me smirk, especially when it first came out, before being edited the first time.

    Fortunately nobody likes Chad in Soltown, so hopefully he's there to stay!

    @DarkStarr In the "Combat" section near the end, where there is a list of things that were fixed, it would be useful to note that Fireflies was fixed. :) In R48, it (incorrectly) increases the amount of critical damage an NPC does to you, instead of the amount of critical damage you do to the NPC (Atos can confirm).

    Dangling sentence in:

    Improved “I don’t know” Response: NPCs now have a better response when you say something to them they are not aware of. Instead of simply saying “I don’t know” they will now instead say something along the lines of “I am unaware of that but I would love to talk to you about the undead threat.” In the example case “undead threat .........

    Under 'User Interface and Polish', a dangling sentence a few lines down:

    Cardinal Direction Sorting: Once you pick up a lot of tasks and points of interest the cardinal directions on your compass can be quickly obscured. Now when you hover your cursor over the compass the task and POI icons .........

    Not sure if this is something I'm supposed to give feedback on or not, but the notes' title is RELEASE 48, November 16, 2017. Apologies if this one of the copy/paste things I'm not supposed to give feedback on, heh.
    Release 47 Postmortem Telethon Items: We have completed all the stretch goal rewards from the R47 Postmortem telethon that were icy themed.
    Faun Animation Expansions: Much like we did for the Satyrs and Kobolds in R48 in R49, The comma should be before R48, I think?

    Actually, if this is a worry, maybe it should be completely left out of the document to not attract any more unwanted attention.

    This is a great addition. Will creatures in the higher level mines also get these types of packages?

    Not sure this is the right word; the letters don't actually set the boundaries of the rooms, which is what demarcate would indicate they do. Should this just be "name" or "designate"? (Fixed)

    This sentence is hard to follow. Perhaps, "We removed the depreciated Riposte Defense effect from the list of possible Masterworks, and any existing item with this effect will now have an effect of Archaic Riposte Power instead. This new effect has the same effect as the Riposte Power Masterwork effect."

    When you hover over one of the icons, you generally get a tooltip with the name of the POI. Having them fade out while you are trying to hover over them seems like it will be difficult to use. This is one of the places where having a notch in the center, showing your current heading, would be useful; you could hover over it and dim POIs, rather than interfere with actual compass usage.

    Is this actually a per hour (average measurement over time), or just within the last hour? If the latter, this should say "within the last" instead. Also, does this debuff scale, so the more you earn within an hour, the slower your xp gain will be?

    Was the section after the colon deliberately left blank or is this an oversight?
    Both Malice & the Battlecamps being normal Multiplayer Scenes tafter the quest is completed are mentioned twice. In the Quest Polish section and in the Scene Polish section. Redundant information.

    • Virtue Gear Glove Quests: While fighting in random encounters, sometimes killing low-tier animals will draw out high-tier creatures. And some of those times you'll meet a new person after those high-tier creatures are defeated. But whatever could they be doing in such a remote area? Whatever their reason for appearing, you might want to talk with them and see if they have a quest that results in something valuable! (Some of the quests offered by these characters will reward players with Truth, ... <----
