R49 vs. R50 Torc'Dawl Weapon Salvage Rate

R49: Salvaging (at GM with a salvaging potion):
-67 Rock Maple = 6 rock maple handles, 1 axe blade, 1307 metal scraps (9% handle salvage rate)
-26 Savage = 0 savage handles, 1 axe blade, 532 metal scraps (0% handle salvage rate)

R50: Salvaging (at GM with a salvaging potion):
-180 Rock Maple = 7 rock maple handles, 6 axe blades, 2 hammer heads, 3273 metal scraps (3.9% handle salvage rate)
-58 Savage = 2 savage handles, 2 hammer heads, 1126 metal scraps (3.4% handle salvage rate)
-4 Mossy = 61 metal scrap (0% handle salvage rate)

 

They increased the mossy drop but not the chance from salvaging right?

 

they did increase the benefit from using the potion, though

 

After using the reclamation potion, I checked my stat log and it's only showing 50 for Salvage skills (those at gm as well non-gm) when I would expect the gm skills to show 150.

 

@Sara Dreygon we salvaged 3 and we got 1 Mossy green handle.

 

Yes it seems the case. I have recently raised one of my salvage skills close to 120 and with the potion i bought and drank i was expecting it to be at about 170...After salvaging 200 - 250 armour items over last couple days and getting a dismal return, 4 or 5.... it seems that this might be the reason.

 

I think the "50" in the stats chat logs is actually the modifier to the base level, not the actual level.

I tested the following buffs, and looked at the chat log with /stats before and after:
- Ring of Jones: +5 Cooking Level
- Blessing of Sacrifice: +4 Carpentry Level
- Potion of Reclamation: +50 Repair & Salvage

The Cooking and Carpentry levels reduced to 0 in the stats after I removed / dismissed them. I already had Obsidian Potion of Reclamation on, and can't dismiss it to test.

The BlacksmithingLevel etc. show 0 - even though I have high skill level in them - which is why I think this is the modifier to the base level.

Thx for testing. I see what you are saying. Its confusing though as you would have thought that the skill level of the crafting skills would be shown in the stats window as other skills are. I also imagine so, if yourself have salvaged something rare ^ up above as wouldn't be able to do that with just 50 in the skill....unless you super lucky.
