In Blood river outskirts Alberic Bug

After giving him stage 1 and 2 of the vigilante plans, he asks for phase one as soon as I initiate contact. if you put it in the window, you cannot hit give items. Note, I gave the manifesto to Markus instead of Alberic. I have reloaded scene and tried again, same result

 

I closed out the game and reloaded, I was able to give the manifesto to Alberic and continue the quest line

 

I've encountered the same bug - Linux 64 version logging in via steam. The window followed me when I exited to Novia and when I rentered the scene.

Logging out clears the issue, but speaking to Alberic again (without making any further progress on finding the next time) brings it back up.

It's not an "instead of" quest, btw. You can give the book to Marcus and then give it to Alberic. You're not restricted from one or the other.

 

I was indeed able to complete both quests. My issue was with the quest box asking for a quest that was already accomplished and refusing to accept it.

 

Done.

For the benefit of anyone with the same problem I had who wishes to resolve it: The issue cleared permanently when I obtained and gave Alberic the vigilante manifesto.

 

I had the same result, its gone now, but then again, after giving Alberic the manifesto, I haven't spoken to him again.
