Details: After recieving a request to take a prayer card to Bramble (not sure if the place is significant) I tried to turn it in, but after the "give item" window comes up, I try putting the prayer card into the "items to give" and it doesn't let me click "Give Items," instead the window is unclosable, indeed even leaving the town leaves it open and unalterable, only force-quitting the game works.

I did see this behavior in an older release (https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/known-cannot-turn-in-prayer-card.106604/), so it appears to be a regression.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Kill Corpian encounters until you get a Pilgrim
2. Talk to the pilgrim, selecting "Bramble"
3. Go to Bramble
4. Talk to Altruist Monk, telling him you want to return the card
5. Drag the card to the "Items to Give" window
6. Note that nothing on that window works now
7. tell the monk "goodbye"
8. Note that the window remains
9. Leave Bramble
10. note that the window remains.

Can you go back and try clicking on "Companion" first. It shouldn't be locking you on that screen, but it's doing that because you don't have the right flag. You will need to go through all the keywords.

 

i am getting exactly the same thing happen to me in Etceter, and i did go through all the keywords before saying "prayer card" and when i hit the give item button, nothing happens, the give item screen cannot be removed and after a time the monk conversation just ends and he walks off

 

Just rememebered to retest this.

I made sure to do "companion" followed by "a Pilgrim Died. I'm so sorry" then "Prayer Card"
It pops up the window, I drag the card over, and can't click "give items"

 

Happening with me as well in Brittany Fields with the monk.

I'm wondering why I cannot repro the trade items problem some are having with various quests...are you using default settings for interaction?
I'm thinking this might be a differences in settings...are you two or anyone else with this issue able to post a screenshot of your interface option settings? I'd like to copy them.

I forgot to mention that I can successfully give these items to an NPC exactly once, and only once. If I try again (i.e. defeat random encounter and get a new prayer card), it bugs out.

 

Oh! That's a phenomenal point. I haden't thought of that. For me is was a case of the second time doing the prayer card quest too! That might be the factor we were missing!

 

you may find you can give the card to a different monk, in a different town. it seems to be once per location.
