    ENOUGH SAID! GREAT JOB @Chris!

Just make it so it's easier to toggle Training, Unlearning, and Maintain and ensure that 6th glyph stays in decks after relogging and it'll be even more better!

There goes 163 million Adventurer XP down the drain. Impressive, @Sara Dreygon, very impressive.

I fully agree that specialization is a great idea. I'm already wrecking things with my 6-stack Ice Arrow. :)

Awsome, if you need to invest 163 Mio XP? I would say not relevant to the majority of players hopefully joining the game in 33 days.... So it seems to be just a feature for heavy grinders but not for casual players or am I completely wrong? If so, please explain me how it works?

You get a large amount of the effect by getting specialization up to 80. That’s where you get 100%. To get a specialization to 80 takes about 3.6 million I believe. A tall order for people just starting, but very feasible for later on even for those who consider themselves casual.

Thanks Baene, so I can also get a huge effect by moderately investing into the specialization and get huge impact. That sounds good, I will try it... still waiting that the patch is completely downladed..

@Ronni, specialization is specially designed to allow high end players to improve their skills in one or two skill trees. To even unlock the skills, you need to have a Tier 3 or 4 skill up to level 80. Then the XP to train the specialization skill is 20 times higher than most skills.

The amount of XP per level is exponential, in that it take 10% more XP for each additional level. This works out to be about 2.6 times the total xp for any 10 levels.
    For the specialization skill:
    • Level 80 = 3.6 million XP
    • Level 100 = 24 million XP
    • Level 120 = 163 million XP
As @Baene Thorrstad noted, most of the benefits are accrued at level 80, which is where most players will stay. 3.6 million XP isn't actually that much once you get to adventurer level 90 or so (which also isn't that hard). And we all have to have goals in life. ;-)

You have to realize that @Sara Dreygon is one of the top 2-3 players in the game. VERY few players are going to get specialization to level 120.

Just so that @Chris doesn't go bonkers and try to nerf this... that was done in Offline mode, with a little tweaking of the saved game file. ;)

I like the change too. Still needs work, but I think it improves the balance of utility vs. specialization compared to how it was.

Thanks Lao Tzu, I just was wondering if this new feature is also relevant for the majority of players, that should be the intention of the devs and not for the top3 players. And for me, reaching adv level 90 is not easy as I dont like grinding all the time when I am in the game, but all in all it seems also be attractive for casual players.
Thanks for the details on the levels, 163 mio is crazy for me but if it is motivating for a few player, it's okay..

I guess for me whatever tree is your main dps source seems worth it just for the 25% decay and 6th glyph. Before even looking at what they add to each skill.

As I said, it was a screenshot from offline mode, where I edited the saved game file. I was actually able to get 200 in ALL specialization skills at the same time.

I had to manually set all those skills to maintain in the save file too, or else they would all be set to unlearn.

This is the screenshot I took that image from... as you can see, there are quite a lot of skills points there. I believe that was 200 in every single skill.
