Actually is one of top 3 best maps ingame imo. The day I explored this map I realized they really could bring big maps with quality content (thanks we don't have housing there :D).

Agree with Corv. This would imrove the game a lot. However as this has been discussed often I lost hope this will change before release candidate (sic!).

The only thing I can do is voice my opinion in meetings, but ultimately isn't my call.

Thanks man! What IS you opinion on it? Would you like narrative text? Then again I also understand if you don't want to say to not contradict a boss.

I wrote a link to this post to Richard Garriott on twitter too so I hope he gives it another thought or two.

I'm guessing the response will be "we've already given our response"

I hope not. I tried to reason why this is not a good response :) If they read the post and not just the general question then there is a basis for dialogue. I am hopeful :)

I think those areas are better then the earlier ones as well, and I think part of it was they are a number of side quests that allowed to make choices because they don't affect the underlying narrative the same way some of the other areas do. Because I don't think there's as much emphasis on covering that, its giving it's creators more freedom to fill out the characters and events. I feel like everything on the path of the mainline quest lacks that "third dimension", and just feels kinda flat.

You should feel good about it. It's a well written, well developed area.

Also the area has new player quests that don’t include “kill ten rats”. You’re fast traveling through mirrors and killing frost ghosts and getting skulls as loot. Best new player quests eva.

And I of course also agree. This is an absolute game changer, because the quality of the narrative is a powerful motivational drive, as it pushes me to try and investigate the next house, the next cave, the next character. When they have something meaningful to say, and they well written actors, I will sit there and play from dawn until dusk.

An experience I've so rarely had, since Black Gate and Serpent Isle. I suppose the early Gothic games managed to have such strong characters well, but since then, most of the new game characters feel like caricatures of their originals. Either that, or they are fairly bland.

The narrative of SotA should see great improvement. I'm glad that we have seen voices from the devs side that agree with this. Even if they aren't the ones calling the shots.
