Presumably the Jack of Diamonds is PvP+... Is that correct?
Presumably if I board the Jack of Diamonds from Aerie, I can disembark in Blood Bay. Is that correct?

I ask myself how many things i need to steal to get a "bad reputation" and if i then can still pay the ransom after getting pickpocketed and killed :p

    This sounds excellent....

And in answer to your question i think from its description "High above Novia flies the Jack of Diamonds, an airship shrouded in mystery..."
We don't want to ruins its mystery before its even launched :)

The answer is probably yes, because I don't see them changing the fast travel mechanism any time soon.
The question is if there is a price to pay through the reputation system.

Been to three of the towns and have yet to see it. I think i saw it possibly in Brit Alley but can be for sure. There was no way to enter. Only two places left to check. LOL

I got on at Aerie. After the "bouncer" said a few things, I was able to say I wanted to get on. Then suddenly Estgard was loading. I ended up at the Estgard docks, but so far I haven't been able to find the next balloon.

You ran into a bug. "Estgard" was a placeholder target while I was working on the Jack of Diamonds. It should be fixed with the next update (you'll go through the same process but end up on the Jack of Diamonds instead of in Estgard).

Ok i just checked it out. here's what i found:

it's not a city, just a normal sized boat in the sky. like a town size one not even a city size one.

    it's not a pvp zone.

it's not a city zone or adventure zone, but an "exploration zone" dunno if dying here incurs decay.

there are about 4 unique npcs, 4 guard npcs, and 2 practice targets.

one of the npcs buys only undelivered mail.

one of the npcs is a barkeep.

one of the npcs buys "bounty slips" which, according to his dialogue, appear to be a pvp thing.

It is not a fast travel nexus, as it only allows you to return to your origin city.

If you jump off, they don't let you hit the ground. it rubber bands you back up to the deck.

There are almost enough cats on this ship, i think i counted 4. Ideally, i'd like to see 6-7.

    Just to clarify one point...
The Bounty Master's primary purpose is to accept bounty slips that you can receive as a repeatable quest from Bounty Hunters sometimes found in random encounters.

Think rifts should randomly drop virtue bunnies off there. *Hides*

Whats the real difference between work with these "bad" guys and the other npcs? is a way to "play" with our virtues and create our own reputation? new rewards in the future? quests?

I enjoyed exploring the ship, but there is little lore or conversation content atm.

The Jack of Diamonds currently has two unique purposes.
Some choices and actions made by players in SotA will affect their reputation. The game doesn't broadcast what those changes are, but players who eventually obtain a shroud have a "hint" about their reputations because their shrouds are white ("good" reputation) or black ("bad" reputation). Your reputation shouldn't just matter, it should matter with more "visibility." And one way to help make your reputation more visible along the way to earning your shroud is for the Jack of Diamonds to only grant access to characters of a certain reputation.

And the Jack of Diamonds has a special "fence" NPC who is currently in no other scene (but will eventually be added to one or two others). You can turn in "undelivered packages" and "undelivered letters" to town criers (a "good" act) OR to this fence (a "bad" act).

Have you guys considered a "neutral" zone of reputation for those characters who might want to "play both sides against each other" sort of things?

Also- if there is a discrete border between "good" and "bad" reputation, that sounds like an invitation for people to game the system by riding the line, and popping back and forth.
