Hello there lovely community. Ok we are just a very days away from release. Are we all sitting on the edge of our seats to see this game finally launch to the public? Well I'd have to say for many of us that the answer is 'yes'.

Throughout development since 2013 many of us have watched with bated breath for this game to progress in the way that we each individually thought it should. In spite of that it has developed consistently and constantly over the course of the years to reach toward launch date about 15 days from now.

So remember even though we are launching March 27th this game is by no means finished and normal releases will continue as they always have. Nothing is over, it is just the beginning.

    Ok here is the topic:

So we have 15 days to add and finish off as many incomplete things, performance issues, bug fixes etc and undone things as possible.

*****What are you each hoping the launch day surprises will be?*****

*****What would light up your world if you saw it when you logged in on launch day?*****

    Give a few ideas....1...2...3...or more ;) ****

***Please Try to just post your choices. Don't use this thread as an opportunity and debate session to judge others peoples responses. Please please. *****

-It is Not necessary to read below this line. This is just interesting information I found.

    ****************************************************************************************************

    Games really can get better

Here are some examples of games that some players thought were not good but then got good over time ;). Nothing is over if you are not seeing your personal fix or addition it will have a great chance of coming in the near future. ok here goes:

    No Man’s Sky gets good.
There was always a good game hiding in No Man’s Sky, but you used to have to work to find it. After several major free updates, Hello Games has made it a lot easier to love their big, weird galactic exploration game. There’s so much more to do and so many more reasons to do it that the No Man’s Sky of 2017 feels almost like a different game. If you bought it back when it came out, try starting a new game and see what happens. As nifty as Hello Games’ updates have been, the No Man’s Sky community deserves just as much credit for keeping the game alive and interesting, creating and rebuilding a galactic hub and, most recently, working out how to wage a massive war in a game with no built-in PvP combat.

Despite its lengthy development, Nioh turns out fantastic.
It may have seemed like Team Ninja’s “samurai Bloodborne” action game Nioh dropped with little fanfare, but it was actually a loooong time coming. Originally announced in the mid-2000s, it apparently went through several substantial overhauls until Team Ninja took over development in 2010. Most games to go through such a process are released in sorry shape, if they’re released at all. Nioh is the welcome exception, a deep, finely tuned, extremely satisfying action game that stands toe-to-toe with the best in the “Soulsborne” subgenre.

Fortnite actually comes out, catches on.
First revealed in 2011 at Spike’s Video Game Awards ceremony, Epic Games’ Fortnite has been on the cusp of release for so long that many of us thought it’d never happen. It finally hit early access earlier this year, and didn’t make much of an impact, at least not at first. Its profile significantly increased when Epic released a free-to-play Battle Royale mode that followed the template established by Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, albeit with some notable changes. By the end of the year, it’s become one of the most streamed games on Twitch, gotten some new modes and other tweaks, and is attracting new players each day.

    1. Heraldry. (I'm pretty sure that this one will happen for release)
    2. In-game map for Linux. (I'm pretty sure that this one will not happen for release)
    3. Fix some of the long standing Linux bugs, like the cursor reappearing in mouse-look when a window is opened or closed and mouse-look being too sensitive in general. (I don't expect that this will happen for release)
    4. My POT gets updated! (I don't expect that this will happen for release either)

Worthwhile drops from enemies, including the "broken/sold items go into loot" that would make salvage useful beyond patterns.

Replacing exploding items on failed enchant/masterwork with a slug (no bonus, but uses up durability). Make crafting somewhat easier, and increase mid-tier selection.

A released game, with lots more players.

    Lfg system would be nice.

Some group content too, or making more of the current content require more than one player. Either make mobs more difficult or make players weaker across the board.

Here are a few of my release day surprises that would make me jump for joy

1)Place to live book has actual link for players or even better key vendors appeared in game as well with a open registration book for players to get a room with out you being there by buying a key that is on a timer. They just buy new one when timer is almost gone or buy a few. Or some version of this.

    [IMG][IMG]

2)Scenes all get their own interesting upgrades for example:
    - complete with 1 or so NPCs found in the scene offering daily quests that rotate and are not always the same. I'd like these quests to offer more quests to do if desired after first quest is completed. This is imo needed to give more reason to hunt and re-visit these scenes.
-Loot tables and discoveries are greatly increased in all scenes. Less empty rooms that don't offer something interesting to see and find.
-More little things sitting around in the scene or found on bodies or in barrels that offer Clues found to send you on quests. Also it would be totally amazing if some of these are added to fishing loot which is indeed bland.

3)A total surprise would be if fishing and agriculture got upgrades and enhancements and also if quests showed up throughout the world that would send you on adventures to fulfill quests related to these. New Fishing recipes that are higher tier are needed. Food needs atto Wellstay viable @Chris per your comment please. So at least if we get an update to water in all scenes to add more types of fish and fishing NPC quests that send to all scenes.

4)Logging in on release day to find my journal had been updated to include more tabs such as achievement, Points of interest, places to live could be here too. Just a few ideas.

    [IMG][IMG]

5)When crafting failures happen and you blow up that piece of armor you are crafting please make it so you are going to see more of a return of your hard gotten resources than 9 measly scraps of metal. Really this has got to be fixed. At least one ingot back, something better than the 9 -40 scraps which is ridiculous please.

Ok this is a start and maybe more later. I don't want much lol ;)

60 fps no stutters, more high risk/reward PVP content, a reason to group up on scenes you can normally solo, clear tooltips with the math exposed, UI revamp, lower loading times/optimization, less focus on RMT, a larger population that is retained, way more character customization, revamp the way dialog is handled, better animations, and some in game events that aren't made by players or dance parties.

Oh and brewing and other things that were Kickstarter rewards.

    1)
NPC Merchants stop selling items such as reagents, fuels, and even stop buying loot. Players must grow or buy reagents from other players, fuels are in more of an abundance out in the wilds ( or/and made by players) as loot/resource points and gold drop is increased a bit in compensation, but many items previously sold as loot would need to be salvaged for their raw components that could be used or sold to other players.

    2)
As a first iteration of factions, Some factions are bought into the game based on location in the world and control points can be controlled by each faction depending on who owns it. These along with other benefits gets more people flagged pvp due to a purpose.

    3)
People can go incognito in the friends list with location unknown to all or based on person, if they wish...

Please remove the mandatory need of being hybrid. Anything pure melee right now is inplayable. Everybody needs at least 40 or 60 or 80 pts in those 10 skill into every magic tree to have a normal resistance. Please, please and please again, this can't be a proper design!
    Sheathed Weapons!
Speed states in combat are hard to adjust /balance and mantain. I'd remove any speed state once player get in combat kinda
CC fade times and invulnerabilities. permastun ftw. check those old daoc rules how they still rock in this area.
CCs priorities: how CC will overwrite emself and so. like: MEZZ - STUN - ROOT - SNARe or viceversa or whatever yo udecide but it's needed.
MAGIC SNARES has to be reduced by magic resistance, while melee one (let's say melee ' CC in general) must be outside any resist table cause it's obviously harder to land a close combat cc instead of a ranged one
Enemies skeletons hitboxes forcing player with low range weapons like blades to "enter" into the mob to hit.
Properly resizable and detachable Mini group information
    Bigger maps for GvG
    Repetable solo/grp quests
Remove option to flee out of map while dueling in PvP
Reward PvP players with pts and Tiers, skilltrees or whatever. like Realm Points or AP or whatever we wanna like em
    imho

    1. Touch up the questing system. This is still a source of constant complaints in guild chat.
    2. LFG System and more content that requires a group.
    3. A system to find buy orders at the very least. More people might actually use buy orders.
    4. Loot enhancement and dropped usable equipment. Even if it's substandard clown wear.
    5. Mob variety. Colors, sizes and different immunity and damage types are all easy to implement. Mob count could be tripled in a day. Where are the serpents?
    6. More places for all levels to adventure without crippled spawn. Reasons to travel to the dead zones.
    7. More PvP incentives and zones. (The Fall is brilliant and the loot is quite good) Start creating new items that require crafting components that only drop in PvP zones. Assuming power level issues are resolved.
    8. Round robbin options and automatic roll for group loot.
    9. Villages and towns need more NPC life. Kids playing, dogs barking, random in town quests and mini-adventures that work. There are many fantastic looking areas that just feel dead.
    10. This is a game supported by the store? Put some meat on the table with player designed dungeons, housing and gear. I bet there's big income potential with PoT and housing owners having their own dungeon.
    11. Taming - See #5 - Ice wolf pet with slowdown attack? Lightning rodent with stuns? Death squirrel with life drain? ect, ect.
    12. Virtue system with titles based on actions.

Ok, maybe not by release. I may have went a little overboard, Majoria.

    1. Performance. We've come a really long way, but I think we are now within reach of being fairly impressive. That being said, a couple of things seem to have slipped back, like "rubber banding". Make the performance super slick, and I think new players will be more likely to give the game a pass on some other things still waiting to be fixed.

    2. Make loot not suck, including either putting stuff in treasure chests, or removing the empty ones. Add small chance to get something cool from smashed crates and barrels.

    3. LFG system.

    4. Full UI polish pass.

    5. Fix the health bar bug. Out of all the extant bugs, I think this one makes the game look most janky.

    6. Total wipe and full loot pvp. Haha just kidding! ;)

    7. Full pass on the prevalence of lower tier resources and other things at the bottom of the economic tree. Currently new players cannot get much of anything that others would buy in any kind of reasonable time frame.

    8. Six month moratorium on major combat changes.

Deployment is 2 weeks from today... They're likely code complete (Or majorly so) for every story they had committed to for this sprint, locking down code and moving into a pure QA Bughunt mode about now...
What will be for launch is fixed.

Cooking - higher intelligence based foods are added

Potions - Ingredient swap for intelligence potion, more in line with dex and str potion requirements.

Recipes - Since they are needed by crafters, they should be found frequently hidden under tree bark, or wedged between Ore, branches and plants as they are harvested. You may also
discover a recipe while crafting, this would be more rare.

COTOs - Drop from harvesting and NPCs with much greater frequency, no longer locked behind a pay to win store.

Skills - Hard caps! skills are hard capped at 100.
