New international Forum section: "Avatars around the world"

Greetings Avatars,

We are happy to announce that we have opened language dedicated sections for multilingual communication and information exchange on our forums.
These are the new sections you will find in the Category "Avatars Around The World":

• Deutsche Community
• Communauté Française
• Comunidad Hispana
• Comunidade Portuguésa
• Comunità Italiana

Starting small, every language dedicated section will have 3 categories:

• Community announcements: Where important announcements of all kinds can be shared by SotA Ambassadors and SotA staff.
• New Player Welcome: Where outlanders can get started, present themselves, seek for guilds and guidance in their language.
  
• General discussions: Where everyone is free to exchange thoughts and conversations around SotA in their language.

The Community Rules and Guidelines apply for all of the above mentioned sections. You will find them translated to the respective language.


We will be adding additional sections to the forums as the language-dedicated Communities grow and activity increases.

In the following days, we will announce the SotA Community-Ambassadors, those Avatars who will be the caretakers of these sections and help welcoming newcommers from all over the globe.

We are looking forward to a multilingual and colorful SotA Community!

 

This is a GREAT addition to the forums! Language should not be a barrier to communicate and interact with people, yet many times it is. Efforts like this will help us share ideas, meet people and enjoy a wonderful game together (i.e., SotA).

The russian and surrounding countries are still split off to the black sun site

That's because Travian Games does not operate in those territories, Black Sun does. They have a different way of managing their territories than we do.

Yes, I was navigating through the different sections and it looks awesome. It seems like they even provided some additional arts, created presentation for each city, etc...

And I just noticed that I didn't even tried the french version. I got far too used to english. But localization isn't realized yet.

I'd advice you to discuss whether or not these forums should be in the 'Whats New' flow.

This since they will not be handled well by translation algorithms when they are mixed up like this, so most likely will be avoided by english-only speaking folks.

Thank you, @Cerus, this is a huge help for players who are not fluent in English and who want to be part of the community as well.

 

I had thought this was changed, but I noticed a few of these pop up recently. Not that I mind, really, but it is hard to sort through the What's New already.

 

This is strange. Let me verify the settings once again...

If I'm wrong correct me but if I go into those threads showing another language other than English translated into English right away when I open them so I can read them. I like that.

 

It does that for me at home because I use Chrome. Here, I have to use Firefox and without a plugin it doesn't auto-translate.
