- User Biography:
- I hail from the city of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and am 42 years old.
The first computer adventure game I ever played and got addicted to was a dungeon crawl called "Telengard" for the Commadore 64. It was also the first game that got me really interested in learning how to program. I remember hitting the "run/stop" key at the precise moment that allowed me to read thru the code. Amazing stuff. I also had the pleasure of meeting a gentleman from Purdue University named Dan Lawrence, who had written the game. The next game I played which costs me tens of hours of my life was Exodus: Ultima III. I remember reading Compute! magazine's review of this game. I remember the reviewers words, describing the game as, "A living tapestry". I believe those 3 words epitomize the Ultima series and Richard Garriot's work on the Ultima series has been nothing less than that. I look forward to forging a legacy in this new and wonderful land called "SotA"
