For the first time in many weeks (since release 60) I took out my Tamer and my Obsidian Destroyer Bear.
With a few guild mates we decided to tackle a control point Superstition Canyon, after being there for nearly an hour and all of us getting low on arrows, reagents etc we decided to back out restock and return. I dismissed my bear, teleport home restocked and teleport back and tried to summon my bear, nothing happens. Check I have whistle equipped all good there, but the whistle is empty.

I am not a newbie tamer (taming skill is 136) and I am sure I dismissed my pet before leaving the zone.
So I can't understand what happened to the bear.
I thought the pet problems had been fixed.

Starting to wonder why I bother playing a Tamer at all.
Massive investment in XP to have a pet that does less damage than a Summoned Lich, and my Obsidian Destroyer has 2327hp but hits like a teddy bear
And they can vanish for no reason. I am very unhappy

Would appreciate an answer @Chris @DarkStarr seeing as you didn't bother to reply or answer my previous post

We haven't seen this issue internally. If anyone sees this happen, please post the details about what happened and note the time it occurred so we can check the logs.

Not to question what you did, but to confirm you dismissed your pet check your log. I did this once a long time ago and found my pet had actually died, again just checking ot make sure.

I know taming is a pain in the arse and losing a pet really sucks.

I would like to know to be able to check myself.

    Thanks in advance

In game, type /datafolder; this will bring up a file browser. Open the ChatLogs folder and you'll see a bunch of chat log files. They're simple text, so you can double click one to open it in your default text editor (probably notepad).

Thank you Barugon with your help I found my chat logs and checked through it.

I had dismissed my bear as I remembered.

Grizzly, I have some sad news for you. I did find the logs of your fight in Superstition Canyon. Unfortunately, your pet was killed 30 seconds before you teleported out of the scene. Once you left the instance, that is a perma-death by the rules of the game.
