valhold - essen stuck still..

    tried the valhold quest again, got the warrant, gave it to ferig, came back to castle, essen wont even acknowledge me, it says "this NPC is currently busy, please try again in a few minutes" tried re-visiting the camps and talking to mara and grannus again, still nothing. Before essen wanted to go someplace and would get caught in a loop, anyone else having this issue?
