Yeah i have been there several times. I just have a hard time with the puzzle to get it open. Then once i get in there i get stuck making that cross over. Usually die a few times. I am not coordinated enough to do all that jumping and lever pulling stuff. LOL

I'm posting this a bit early so I can get my Christmas day started ;) If anyone wants to see what fishing objectives exist until Noon today before it switches to Week 34 from Week 33, please scroll up for and look at the previous post from last Friday showing the Week 33 objectives. I've also adjusted the main post in this thread a bit early.

WEEK 34 Starting at Noon today:

    FISHING PRIZES & OBJECTIVES:

All prizes will be no-trade. Players may donate additional prizes in the name of their guilds or towns to sweeten the pot. This event timeframe is Friday the 25th at Noon CT to Friday the 1st at Noon CT, and these are the prizes and goals for the indicated week:

    Largest FETID WATER Fish (Town):
-- Rules: Must be caught from one of these towns. Governors can request a loaner water conversion statue to meet water requirements.
-- Prizes: Player Owned Town Row Lot Deed, Large Gold Fishing Trophy

    Beran's Reach (@Duke Vallas [BEAR])
    PaxLair (@Sean Silverfoot)
    Novia Market (@Adam Crow)

    Largest Fish (PvP):
-- Rules: Must be caught in The Brave Coast
-- Prizes: 2 Chained Obsidian Shard 3-Packs, Large Silver Fishing Trophy

    Largest Lava Fish:
-- Rules: Must be caught in Bunker C
-- Prizes: Fishing Rod of Prosperity, Large Bronze Fishing Trophy

    Participation Prizes:
-- Rules: Everyone who caught at least 1 trophy fish in this week's locations
-- Prizes: Small Silver Fishing Trophy

    CROSS-OVER EVENTS:
Prizes provided by the Community Manager will be available for participants and winners of the Fishing event, but governors, guild leaders and players are welcome to sweeten the pot by providing additional prizes based on objective criteria entirely of their own design. In fact, please consider planning events to overlap the duration and chosen weekly locations of the PvP and Fishing developer events. Please post these events in the in-game events forums and the Community Manager will promote accordingly. Please submit links to event threads which take place in the spotlighted towns, PvP zone or PvE zone.

    Current Crossovers:
    -- No Crossovers Announced

    NEXT WEEK'S ROUND OF POTs:
To aid governors better plan, the next round of POTs to compete (freshwater) will be from Noon to Noon, Friday to Friday, January 1st to January 8th:
Dark Bayou, Novia Near Brittany (@Fiero Steele)
    Jade Valley (@Mal Hari)

PaxLair is proud to part of the Catnip Weekly Fishing Tournament.

(Fetid) will be from Noon to Noon, Friday to Friday, Dec 25th to January 1st:

As part of the tournament, we will be running a side contest. Our challenge will be a little different, we're going Vegas to do a Price Is Right mashup. The old retired shark hunter Sam Quint is available at the Tourney shack to answer any questions he can.

    DROP BOXES:
Located at the PaxLair fishing shack, straight ahead off the docks, the first row lot you see. There are chests out front, once you're ready to put your catch in, choose an empty pack and place your fish directly in. You will only be able to add, not remove, so take care.

    NORMAL CONTESTS:
    1 of a kind - Largest length - 3 Prize ticket
    2 of a kind - Closest length total to 2.1 - 2 prize tickets
    3 of a kind - Closest length total to 8.2 - 3 prize tickets
Small Straight - 4 different types lowest length total - 3 prize tickets
Large Straight - 5 different types highest length total - 4 prizes tickets

Special add-on - Surprise visits at unannounced times, with Holiday giveaways. Sponsored by Sausage Swiper, The Yule Lads a guild of PaxLair
**** Please note PaxLair has no responsibility for the items given out by the Yule Lads or their behavior****

    RULES FOR NORMAL CONTEST
The same fish may be used to achieve different combos.
Ties will split the prize tickets, with adjustments made so it's even amounts.
Can only win once per hand.

    PRIZES:
Once the winners are announced they will be asked to come to PaxLair, where they will be able to choose a box for each ticket won. Each box will be chosen 1 at a time on a rotating basis until all tickets have been cashed in. There will be more boxes than tickets. This is fishing, there will be stinky prizes hiding in there.

Any question or comments please get in touch with @Sean Silverfoot

Sorry for the delay! Here's the week 33 results:

    Week 33

Asmodi M'hul, Tiger Shark, 4.057 Whyte Roc
POT Towns (Player Owned Town Row Lot Deed, Large Gold Fishing Trophy)

D'Laein Lachlan, Marlin, 2.681 Dysborg Ruins
PvP (2 Chained Obsidian Shard 3-Packs, Large Silver Fishing Trophy)

D'Laein Lachlan, Dunkleosteus, 4.501 Blackblade Pass
Lava (Fishing Rod of Prosperity, Large Bronze Fishing Trophy)
Also, I got asked the question about bots in regards to fishing. They are just as illegal to use for fishing as any other in-game function. Please do not use these bots. It's likely we'll scan for fishing botting soon through past months of data, so please PM me if you have questions about the policy and the actions we take in regards to accounts using bots.

Congrats! I really didn't expect to land a prize with my catches last week either.

Edit: I even butchered the marlin as it wasn't even that big.

We usually range between 50'ish to 80'ish participants. I've had a few that were in the high 40's. Seems to ebb and flow. :)
