You are right. Imagine if someone in a strategy game has to play a tournament of Baseball - and then with a club he doesn't like - in order to advance.
Or it's like vegans having to eat a steak in order to get to the salad bar. (Without being told that if they go look for a secret door, turn left, then three times right, climb down a ladder into the sewers and up a hatch they will stand right in front of the salad bar).

how did you know about I'am vegan? The salad bar isn't the problem at all. But try to order a pizza without cheese ...
You can deny everything: garlic, onion, etc. - but cheese?

After all: you learn to go your -own- way and to arrange with uncomfortable situations ...
Some people call it a "challenge" - well, sometimes it feels, like Sting sung "... I am an alien ..."
And there are challenges I mustn't have in my (game) life ...
