[Known] Black Arrow quest in Ardoris (spoilers)

According to the Release 35 notes, this quest has been adjusted. However, Rolf the guard in question (or the guard captain) still will not accept my proof even though I have the 5 pieces of paper in my inventory. All Rolf says when I accuse him is "You need proof to back up an accusation like that." I've tried the obvious like "I have proof", the name of the recall notice, saying the recall notice was in the tower, reading out the notes with the names of the children to him, but nothing works.

When I say "Rolf is guilty" to the Captain, he just talks about Rolf in general.

Another player that was there at the same time had the same issues.

Sorry to be a pain Lum, but any ETA yet? we've had two post R35 patches thus far and its still borked today as I see it. I'm running out of quest completions to get exp. points for my character and can't level him to progress the main quest line at the moment!

edit - have you just hot-fixed adventure exp gain from mobs? suddenly i'm accumulating a trickle of it from pve and am a little less concerned about quests!

 

Where do you find the note in the floor ?
In the tower (see image I don't find any note).

 

This quest is still bugy . .i have all notices in my bag but rolf doesnt react ..

 

With R36 it works for me.

Are the notes in the same tower Rolf is found in? I did not find anything in there; not on the first or any of the other floors...

 

The notes should be in the same tower; check both sides, and if nothing is there it could mean someone was just there and the notes haven't respawned yet.

And it worked for me in R36

I did notice the other side to the tower but I could not figure out how to get in (locked door).. it says "use nearby key" but I looked and looked.... if this is the right way, do you know where the key is? when I mess w/ the lock, I'm told I need a "ardoris guard key"...

 

That is indeed the right door Unfortunately I'm afraid I don't remember where I got the key from - I picked it up several weeks ago before they rearranged things in R35. It may have been on the unlocked side, or try the guardhouse if you haven't already.

 

I just went in and had a look, and the key is inside the locked part of the tower, which means that someone without the key would need to wait for someone else (either player or NPC) to unlock it. I don't know if this is as intended, because it would mean waiting for an NPC to go into the tower. I'm out of town this weekend or I'd offer to set up a time with you to open the door

 

Merieltha.... thanks for the kind offer, but I'll just as well wait for an npc.... and thank you for the effort... just knowing I can go back (eventually) and finish this quest is enough for me
