you use the trade window. you can drag from your recipe book, from the icon picture, same as an item. also from the emotes list.

I can now comfortably explore the passes now, and killing Mr. Polar Bear to see if I might get a pristine head. Only 795 to go! :p

    There are
    • Non-teachable, where you have to have the recipe yourself.
    • Teachable, where someone who has used the recipe item can in turn use the Trade window to give it to you, but where you cannot give them onwards in turn.
    • Re-teachable, where someone can trade you and you can trade onwards in turn. HOWEVER, when a recipe is Re-Teachable, then YOU DON'T NEED THE RECIPE, at all. Instead, just go to the crafting station - place the exact amounts on it, and the CRAFT button will light up. And if you run that craft, you will get the recipe itself for FREE and you can then in turn give it onwards if you wish.

So there is no need for any of the re-teachable recipes, at all, if you know the exact amount of components.

    EDIT
This is true for almost all but the high tier cooking recipes btw. So you don't usually need cooking recipes either.
