    Bronze and constantin worked today, but meteoric and white iron did not
    Edit: not for me at least

    Alright, I started the game once more and tried the following recipe at the smelting station:
    Chunk of Coal (4)
    Copper Ingot (2)
    Ingot Mold
    Nickel

    Equipped Tool: Smelting Tongs

    ->"No Recipe Found"; the "Craft" button can not be pressed.

    Any idea what could be wrong? Do skill level restrictions exist?

    :-(

    PS: I tried Meteoric iron earlier as well (since it is similar), and it did not work either. The few recipes I have in my book do work. But as I said, I am just starting out, so there is not much to be seen there.

    Yea, they snuck in a few changes this release. We're updating Sotacraft.com with them as quickly as we can.

    All of the masterwork upgrades and the new furniture are up. I'll work on updating the ingot recipe changes now.

    Wow, it wasn't hard enough to make alloys before, now they double the rare mats? Awesome. :(

    Thank you, that worked!
    I also just found out that I could have bought that recipe from Norman the Crafter (In Owls Head)! :)

    The rare mats for mining do not seem to be that rare anymore. I am finding them almost every time in Owl's Nest Mine with a mining skill of only 30.

    Also note that if you try the recipes with Tungsten from scratch then you will have to find Tungsten low in the list and greyed out. It is not evident that it is a material for smelting yet (they will get to it soon I bet).

    Any one know how to get your thread "sticky" ?
    Is there someone you pay, or beg to?

    Thanks

    @Berek

    Is there a way to "sticky" my thread?
    It seems if I do not post often people think I have gone away and that I am no longer updating the site.

    Thanks

    I do hate to be a joy kill... But I think we need to link learning them to quests, and without completing the quest, we cannot use them even if we find that information on any other site.

    But then what is he importance of vendors selling recipes "in the game"? I must admit that I see no reason for them being there now, because their are many sites which feature them.
    My thoughts are to link learning them to quests and to dislocate them from the current vendor system or "discovery system".

    SOTA should be a game of quests, even if those are mini quests. This preserves the site which feature them for references, yet leads the seeker to our quests.
    Effort = Reward ... Just my thoughts... o_O @Lum the Mad Just looking out for your job security :p as if you needed it... o_O!'

    @Time Lord

    This thread is not about how Port builds the game. Your response would probably do better in another thread.

    i agree. but then it's also nice to be able to 'discover' the recipes by experimentation, so there is no good solution

    Sorry to have offended the subject ;)
    I'm always so on the fence the way they did those... I would have broken up the each ingredient into a hunt and seek, which could effect the design in which they are presented, but we all want to rule the world aye :D Mine is but one sniff within the greater wind :p
    You are right, "there is no good solution"... unless we can figure out a way to clone Lum o_O Now that, would be a good recipe! :D

    Would it be better if they for each crafting skill divided recipes into the same categories as in game?
    Would make it bit easier to find the recipes you not learned yet then.

    Sure! We can do that. There are only so many stickies in a forum section we can have though, so it may be rotated out for other sites in the future.
