While working on a video showing the wonderful variety available in headgear, it saddened me to have to note the disparity on what can be enchanted and masterworked.

    Tiaras and Circlets
Do not take on the property of the metal they are created from.
Can be Enchanted but not masterworked on bs table and made from there.

Floppy Hat, Brown Fur Hat, Holly Wreath
Cannot be masterworked or enchanted. Shows material made from

    Stovepipe Hats, Band Hats(2)
Do not take on the property of the materials they are created from.
    Cannot be masterworked or enchanted.

    Bear, Stag, Wolf,Boar
    Fine as they are
Can be masterworked and enchanted takes on properties on material in construction

    Miners helmet
    Fine as they are
Can be masterworked and enchanted takes on properties on material in construction

    Party Hat
I believe this is only made from pulp so no material properties but why not be able to mw or enchant.

Not asking for stats for base creation of these like the stag, boar, wolf and bear hats but would really like it if they could be enchanted and masterworked and take on the properties from their creation materials.

Since its been stated we will never get option to hide headgear, at least let us have fashionable headgear from the already created game resources that can also be functional.

    Thanks

    Addendum from post below
Here are some other items that should be enchantable or masterworkable
    Cotton Short Kilt
    Cotton Long Kilt
Fancy Merchant and Merchant Items (boots gloves shirts skirts pants) -- note the perennial farmer can be
Aeronaut Items (jacket, boots gloves pants helmet previously mentioned
    Coconut Bra
    Red Dress

    Another Addendum from Below
The Bodice top/bottom pieces can be masterworked but not enchanted which does not seem to make sense.

The cotton perennial peasant dress and cotton perennial peasant leggings and the slippers cannot be masterworked, but can be enchanted, but the farmer tunic and leggings and sandals can have both.

I noticed this as well when I tried to masterwork a circlet. It also appears to be a cloth armor type, despite being made with blacksmithing.

@Lace or anyone else who might know, can you enchant the Ankh necklace?

Tiarat and circlet being enchantable and not masterworkable is probably a bug.

As for others vanity hat, id bet they can be salvaged to a pattern and logic wise it would cost less mats to try to pattern one of those than enchanting one just for fun and try to make it good. (Still has to be checked if this give a pattern or not)

See when you submit stuff like this, they say working as intended, my question i the intention and feeling it is wrong heh.

Maybe @Attenwood can clarify if these are bugs or intentional and what a course of action would be to make things more uniform.

    Some more discrepancies:

The cotton perennial peasant dress and cotton perennial peasant leggings and the slippers cannot be masterworked, but can be enchanted, but the farmer tunic and leggings and sandals can have both.

I am aggregating this at the top of the post and want to submit this list shortly. Please add any other findings you folks have found please.

    Hi @DarkStarr , @Bzus

This is a compiled list -see the very first entry of this thread please for the aggregate of items that need to have their masterwork and enchantment looked at. These are in game items that add look diversity so everyone does not look the same and can have more flair while hunting when being able to have MW or enchant gear of this nature. It seems some flags for mw or enchant have been missed on a few, an their is some disparity. There may be other items I have not looked at yet, and if this needs to be in bugs I can copy the aggregated list to that thread just let me know.

From my perspective though, there is no reason these items should not be MW and enchantable.

So with crafting getting some attention, can we get these things looked at to give more diversity in combat gear. I am sure since this list was compiled some additional items have these issues.

Its all gear, they should be mw/enchantable the half or none makes no sense.

@Chris , @DarkStarr You had asked for list awhile back but nothing happened .. poke

There is also a big disparity between wizard hat and epic cloth helm, making it subpar and not usable. Atleast give us the pattern

The option to hide headgear has been in game for quite some time now.
