Title: Mac version froze and crashed twice in a row while in Owl's Head

    Reproduction Rate:

    Blocker? No

    Details:

My screen froze and my Mac crashed twice just now in SotA. The first time I was making a purchase from the Crafting Goods Merchant in Owl's Head and the second time was just a few minutes later when I started filling out a bug report in Safari and my avatar was standing in the crafting pavilion in Owl's Head.

The crashes could be unrelated to SotA, but I thought I would mention this pair of crashes because I had just closed all of my programs and rebooted my Mac a few minutes before the crashes. At the time of the first crash, I just had Suitcase Fusion, Steam, and SotA open. I often have at least a few other programs open while I am playing SotA so I thought I would mention it. I did not get any crash reports when I restarted the first time, and a Safari crash reporter the second time.

    Steps to Reproduce:

    User Specs:
    OS: Mac OS X 10.11.6
    CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1650 v2 @ 3.50GHz (12) System RAM: 65536
GPU: AMD Radeon HD - FirePro D500 OpenGL Engine GPU RAM: 3072
    SotA.EarlyAccess.OSX.64.583.Date.04.02.17
    Area: OwlsHead
    Area Display Name: Owl's Head
    Loc: (132.9, 73.3, 65.2)

Interesting data point: I've just had two crashes in a row where it crashed just as I was jumping.

EDIT: aaaaaand it just happened again. It seems that jumping can cause a crash on the OS X client.

Has this been reproducible in the latest version of the client, 587? Any further details to assist us in figuring out a reproduction case for this?

I had another freeze yesterday, but unfortunately, I can't find a way to reliably reproduce.

Is there a helpful log or naything that I can look up on my end? I started playing last September on a four year old MacBook Pro and never froze or crashed. I switched to my Mac Pro a few months ago and all the crashes have happened isnce then.

Could it be related to having higher quality settings or anything that I may have changed on my end?

I would be interested to know if playing with lowered graphics and visual settings turned off helped to keep this from occurring.

Sounds good. I will try that for a few weeks and let you know what happens!
(I crashed once more while opening Photoshop to save out the screen shots. So it is happening when only SotA and Steam are the only programs open and when I have a few other programs open.)

    Here are my current settings:

Current version has been just fine.

I always use minimum settings on Mac, because it's so pokey with Intel HD 4000 graphics, and not much better even with a 2011-era mobile GPU.

Hi @Attenwood , I just had another crash while walking around in Owl's head to add to this thread.

My new video settings screenshot are at the bottom of the post. Since the last time I shared my video options upthread I have reduced my resolution a few settings and changed my quality level to fastest.

Hi @Attenwood , I am crashing up a storm today. Is there anything from my Mac that I can send to you beyond a new bug report copy and paste? I have crashed three times in a row up in the upper area of Owl's Head. I think it also happened once while inside a house in Northwood.

I have restarted my machine each time today and do not have any programs open other than Steam and SotA. I am crashing within a minute or less of logging into the game and trying to take a screenshot of my video options. (I think I bumped them up a few notches recently and then back down, so was going to check and see where they are at, my current guess is Good.)

My workaround is to start on the World Map instead of my current location and go to another area of the game and see if it keeps happening, but wanted to see if there is anyrhing I can do that would help provide crash data or troubleshooting information?

    Thanks!
