Gotta admit, I was a little disappointed to see that our 'signed' certificates are not actually going to be signed by Lord British. The stickers are kind of lame. (they look fine, just the idea of using stickers instead of hand signing is a bummer)

That being said, I am happy to see that progress is being made on the physical goods.

I wonder, will the cloth maps be actually hand signed or will they just be stamped as well?

The kickstarter did go to great effort to detail how special the signatures would be

    "
    NAVIGATOR

Includes all the Collector Level rewards, but your cloth map will be hand signed by Richard “Lord British” Garriott himself. (If you choose this level, you can take satisfaction in the agony signing tons of maps will cause Richard. Also, look forward to a time lapse video of Richard signing all the maps!)"

Greetings all and @Lord British. I can understand that the certificates may not have been ready for signing and logically it would be easier for LB to hand sign the stickers. My question is are the sheets of stickers at the top right hand signed or was one signed and then mass produced? I am OK with the stickers, although a bit of a let down, but they were described as all being hand signed not copied. So which was it?

    Prepare to be lawyered... bro.

The Navigator pledge says the maps will be hand signed.

    Those aren't maps.

good catch. It's nice that the stickers are at least signed, even though i still would have preferred the certificate to be signed.

I'm still curious how the other signed items will be done.

Actually I don’t think the sticker design fits the deed at all... a deed that has a signature within a miniature scroll ?
@Lord British - I am disappointed in how this is handled. With all the shift in focus of the game at least the gimmicks should have warranted for doing it right.
In hindsight not upping my pledge to the Lord level was a good decision.

I'm confused. If @Lord British could sit there and sign a bunch of stickers... why not sit there & sign the actual document, making everyone happy?

Ah. The topic i have been waiting for since the Designe of the stuff started. Where is my Popcorn?

To add something to the topic:
I was courious how they would do it.
So stickers it is. I am more or less ok with that. As long as my map is really hand signed. Because a sticker on the map would be pretty 'meh'.

Greetings all, I am fine with the signed stickers also since they were really hand signed. To wait for the certificates to be printed and then signed would probably have delayed the shipping even more. I look forward to the other things being signed and a map with no stickers. Thank you @Lord British and take solace in the fact that your hand hurts so much is because you have a lot of loyal backers willing to follow you.

And thanks to @Vladamir Begemot for the proof they were really signed.

Well... far be it for me to say, but a bit of planning might have gotten us over that speed-bump. These rewards have only been on the drawing board for... what... five years or so, now?

Ehhh, signed stickers are still a bit naff. As long as it's just the certificates though, not the end of the world.

you would have to wait until the goods are produced then wait as it takes twice as long to sign them which would further delay physical goods.

I really could care less that it's a signed sticker. The map on the other hand, well that's a different story! ;)

    QFT.

seriously... with so much time, the fact that they werent ready in time to be signed is pretty lame. Proper planning to start the production earlier would have solved the issue.

    I mean, jeez.

Greetings @Corv, my post was a question not a start to a conspiracy:
I watched the video and posted:
Yes I am a little sensitive but I dislike it when my words misrepresented. I applaud LB for signing all the things he has and will do. I am anxiously awaiting my physical goods and all the new content that is coming that will make the game even more fun.
