My song of the day. What's yours?

This was done in season 1 of westworld and done SO WELL with the episode. I found Ramin Djwawni (GOT composer too) version of this and actually have it in .abc format inside shroud. This song so rocks in the game on like lute or STREET organ even of all things, the accordion is well accordion like but works.

 

Did you know she used to be the Dispatcher on the TV show C.H.I.P.S. with Ponercherlla etc though I think they only credit her where she played a singer, but I could swear she was one of the gals working dispatch. For me one of my favorite songs by her is Lucky ONe, but I like also Solitaire, and LOVE TI AMO.

(Like a wild bird of prey, like a thief in the night .... love that line)

 

I know it may seem like I suddenly hi-jakced the thread in my responses but every couple months I try to catch up and relate to folks posting, before I post my own song of the day or so. I been super busy so had to catch up a lot.

So ...

Been waiting months for the new Halestorm Album to drop and still no word on release date, but some songs are starting to be played out and seems they are going hardcore on this album. Lzzy chopped all her hair off last year and has often times said Pat Benatar is one of her idols. With her new look its like Pat Benatar and Joan Jett had a baby LOL (looks not music I am saying). Only heard 2 songs so far in full and the new album seems more hard rock than some of their others, I hope we do get some ballads cause while Lzzy can wail, she can sing too.

Instead of song of the day here is concert of the day with some new stuff and old stuff. A lot of colors going on from the stage show, but I love me some Halestorm. And hey 2 hours of a video and all my responses should shut me up for a few months.

If you are not a fan go to one of my favorite songs by them at about 17:23 it starts with some acopella.

34:38 starts some dialogue and then another strong female empowering song called dear daughter which has a phenomenal official video.

42:16 starts the first song I ever heard by them, the official release version that was, and it hooked me on them. This is a diff arrangement but its still the song that made me do a double take especially cause in the video it looked like she was casting magic LOL.

54:08 if you got a drum kit collecting some dust like mine, well this will either motivate you or make you sell it when you see Lzzy's little brother on a drum solo like the days of yesteryear in rock in roll. ITS GOT COWBELL

We were syncing this song in group the other night and while not anything like this. It was extremely fun. What an amazing song this is.

Last night I caught up with an old friend that I had not seen in years. It was great to reminisce about the past and to talk about our new adventures.
Back in the day we were both fans of this band and I must admit I relate a lot of my tastes and experiences back to this era.
I have probably bought this album at least 3 times over the years and still consider it (to my ears) a timeless classic.

 

Forgot who was playing Eddy Grant many nights back on Avatar's Radio (perhaps Lady Dragonfyre), but ran into a spirited live version today in "the dark side of town"

 

Excuse the poor photoshop but for that I think we need an emote and a portable kitchen radio.
