Shroud effects?

I cant get my truth to budge either..... uggg pretty much every NPC knows my name now though....

 

There's a side quest in Bloodriver Outskirts that is truth related.

 

Ive done 3/5 truth armor quests... still -5 INT

edit: now 5/5, still -5int. Took all truth options.

 

Kill satyrs = +courage
Kill fauns = -courage
Note that this may only be in areas where satyrs control fauns. Faun-less satyrs like that one in The Epitaph may not count.

Courage seems to be the hardest to lower, because so much raises it.

I still don't use my shroud (worn cloaks FTW) but it's nice to have an (albeit not terribly granular) indicator of where things are.

 

Has anyone tried just lowering courage? I'm curious what color the shroud turns when courage is on the opposite end.

 

Good day! I had an Intelligence of +5 on my shroud, but I decided to paint it black and stole books from the closet in the NPC city... All this I did in one day and my intellect became -5. I ran through all the major cities of the NPC, all NPC I talked to ... My name is <MyName>. Nothing helps. Now -5 intellect will stay with me forever?

 

Does anyone know how to lower love? I've been trying to lower it, but it keeps going up

 

get a beggar to ask you for a coin and say no?

I have tried this, but it didn't seem to work. I'll try it again, but there must be another way.

 

You can go up to any NPC and say, "My name is *your real name*" for +truth and, "My name is *false name*" for -truth. Mine was screwed up from day 1 2 years ago when i started in the highvale scene and went to Resolute and found a piece of paper on the ground/corpse? Well I went to the gate guard and apparently one of the options to tell the guard was definitely the wrong choice... (showed ID papers and I guess I claimed i was that person). Was stuck at max -truth ever since. Oracle hated me from day 1. No matter how many quests I did, how many people I told my name too, etc didn't matter. Bugged I suppose but I didn't want to reset everything so, yeah, I'm just gonna enjoy my Black Shroud. Truth is overrated

Edit - Not sure if it helps you, but supposedly finding and turning in unclaimed mail/unclaimed packages to town criers boots your good virtues. You supposedly can get the opposite effect by taking them to the blackmarket fence on the Jack of Spades airships. Wish there was a log that told you exactly the outcome so you'd know for certain.

 

Maybe There could be a public relations npc you could hire.
