    THAT!

    Given bows are one of the skills that got hit hard by that I would like to unlearn my specialisation there with 100% exp refund but i would settle for light armor, given sprint is one of the few skills it has now slashed by half.

    When on Friday does double XP end? I was so excited for it, but stuff came up, and I was only able to take advantage of it the first two days. Hopefully I can get the next two evenings...

    (For the record, I have been looking around in the forums and website to find the answer. All I've seen so far is that it "ends on Friday 6/15." Presumably it's midnight Friday night, but I'd like confirmation, since it will actually affect my plans for tomorrow evening...)

    Thanks! I will adjust my plans accordingly.

    In the future, though, that should include a time as well as a date. While it is correct in a technical/linguistic way to have some thing that "ends Friday" end at anytime on that Friday (including 00:00 in the morning) it is imprecise and somewhat misleading. For example, as I type this on Friday morning in Minnesota, Google informs me that it is currently early Saturday in some parts of the world. If I have a project due on a Friday, I have all of Friday to complete it. If a sale ends on Friday, you don't typically show up at the store and find out the sale ended that morning at 2am.



    (For the nitpickers: I'm also aware that "double XP for the first two weeks of R54, extended by one day" when R54 goes live around 10:30 am on a Thursday, would mean it would end fifteen days later on a Friday at around 10:30 am. Again, technically correct, but everything referring to the end of double XP just declares it "ends Friday" which should be clearer. It is very rare in colloquial English for "two weeks" to mean "precisely two weeks, down to the minute.")

    so its done no more double XP for crafting....
    hope they fix the recovery bug with no XP on crafting - lost a good amount of XP through it while permacrafting....

    Just searched to see what you meant by this. So, now when you craft something, and it fails, you lose the materials and the fuels now?

    no when it
    - fails you loose the fuels and get the standard XP
    - succeds you get the new item and have a chance of extras and/or excpetional XP
    - asks you to recover you loose the fuels and are asked to give the same fuels again to recover the item (if you don'T you still have the ingredients ) BUT you get no XP either way and if its your first craft you don't get the x20 XP for the next crafting becasue it counts as second craft

    When does it ask you? I literally haven't seen that for at least two years (probably more than three years).

    the last two weeks i had it happen about 4 times i n a 100 craftings
    in making components and refined materials but only in single crafting not batchcrafting (the first 30 single craftings give you more than basic XP)

    Huh. So, what purpose does that serve, exactly? I mean, if you don't lose the materials, and the fuels are the same, then why code in the option? Or is it the remnant of another system that got changed? I don't think I've ever seen that pop up.

    I personally think that was implemented for masterworking and enchanting to save the item instead of loosing it...
    but for standard items crafting it messes things up...
