Will the new Community Manager be from Travian Games?

Just a question since Berek posted on his FB page that he is no longer working for Portalarium.
Will all players now be managed by Travian games? Or will Portalarium get a new Community Manager?

Interesting times ahead. I am curious if this means a travian transition is taking place now or not? Would be nice to get an update.

Given how community-driven this game is, that really surprises me. Is there anyone actually left working at Port, or is it just Starr, Chris and Garriott now?

 

There are plenty of people still employed by Portalarium. Do not fret!

 

I think some turn over happens in this buisness idk really, hopfully they can still deliver on esp 2 stuff. Eps 2 promises is why im still here, all the stuff I want is on the list for it.

 

There is an article on mmorpg.com - which had this bit: "Portalarium and its main licensing partner, Travian Games GmbH, have started discussions involving a possible expansion of their business relations which the companies hope to conclude in the fourth quarter of this year". What that means exactly remains unknown.

Berek and Lexie too? When I first heard the news about downsizing, I figured that's how things go, pro ably doesn't mean anything bad. Maybe it's because so many of those let go were more active on the forums, but it feels like a lot of pretty key people were lost. I have to admit, my confidence in this game getting an episode two has taken a bit of hit.

 

Sad to see Berek go personally. Although I often disagreed with his particular style of moderation, he truly was in many ways the heart of the community. I wish him well in his future endeavors. The same could easily be said for Lexie, who put a lot of effort into making the game a smoother and happier experience for everyone. If it's true that she is leaving us in an official capacity, I also wish her a fond farewell and the best of luck in her future endeavors.

 

I'm mostly concerned with who will be in charge of that stuff two weeks from now for the monthly stream event. At the very least someone needs to be there to log in the social media accounts. I'm sure it will be handled properly, but I might want to get there an hour earlier than usual for set-up. The community volunteers might be a bit more important than usual this month.

 

I have to agree. Berak and I didn't always see eye to eye but he was a pillar of our community and made a difference everyday. I hope to keep in touch with the man and follow up with him.

Same to Lexie. It's been rough on me the past couple days as I've been unable to sleep. I'm going for a second kickstarter and maybe we can hire all these people back!! I would gladly open my coin purse for such a pursuit!
