Yay made wine, beer and spirits

hey @BurningToad - suggestion on this - maybe lower these limits dramatically on QA - so people can test the brewing?

 

Where might I find the "Pattern for Beer Wine & Spirits Cask"?
I got the recipes to make each variety of cask.
Now to complete the casks it is asking for a Pattern for each?
I am confused.....

you do not need a pattern. if you mean symbol, check the crafting supply merchants.

 

My next question is, this picture (below) shows taps on the casks.

My casks do not have taps on them so how would I dispense a drink once they are matured? (But @Alley Oop they do indeed have the symbol on the side indicating wine/spirits/beer)
I haven't indulged in Heraldry patterns, but I don't think the taps would be added when the heraldry design is applied?

Yes, tabs are missing !
If i recall it right a Earth day is a month in Novia. (white) Wine needs 6-8 month in the cask to become ready. So they chosed 7 earthdays for (white) wine.

 

taps are probably part of the visual improvements for the heraldry casks. the rest of us peasants will have to drill bungholes.

you wouldn't want a tap while it was brewing anyway: it'd be an easy point of failure for the cask.

The icon, when you hover your mouse over a cask, shows a tap.

 

Red and White Grapes are also sold in Brittany Estates Farmer (By the North gate)

Hi! The cask timer disappears and you can open it to reveal that the brewing fairies have pre-mugged your Brittany Beer. I could place it as a deco, but I could not hold it, so maybe that part is a bug.

I might know more by next Wednesday when my wine finishes.

 

does the cask art change to include a tap when it's ready?

 

I was talking about this with a friend & we are both disappointed about the somewhat minor omission/oversight of taps.
I remember reading log ago, that one of the harvesting by-products was said to be for the future brewing process. (It was so long ago I can't remember what it was, so I just keep everything now - just in case)

Taps at least make the casks look right aesthetically & certainly make sense in pouring a drink.
& it's OK that it is a cooking skill (cooking needs some love) but there should have been a still made to make the whole process seem logical.

I feel it was rushed through which is a wasted opportunity for creating a new exciting & worthwhile addition to the game.

 

Is this in QA? Not seeing any of this in game.
