I'm not entirely sure what's happened, but in R55, the utility & glyph bars look really grainy. At first I thought it was because I had my graphics setting on fastest, but I changed it to "best" and it still looks just as bad. I've also noticed that if you have a locked glyph and cast it multiple times, it's more difficult to tell on the cool down cycle if you can cast it again. Overall, it's a major step backwards, IMHO. It looks more like I'm playing a game from the early 2000's with it so grainy. :/

It seems to be sharper on my client compare to pre-R55. The glyph size is getting a bit too small for me, though.

It's also much harder to differentiate red glyphs from brown/burgundy glyphs.

Try turning the saturation setting in the game up.

I would be much much happier if we could customise UI by ourself.

Many games allow players to create custom UI as plug in and that is a very very good things for people like me who depend on glass bricks to see stuff.

PLUS it takes away workload from staff making UI, AND allows to make UI designed for the needs of different classes.

Dangers like cheating an such should be minimal if it is an plug in that only can work with what data the game provides to the plug in.

I agree. I most noticed this on the glyphs, which appear to have been dulled down by sprinkling black dust on them. Looked awful to me at first. I've either growth used to it now, or the team has slightly refreshed it again.

It was described to me marvelously as 'brake dust'. I didn't like it at first but I'm getting used to it.

I get a sense that the Devs are going for a much darker ambiance across the game, to harmonise with some of the grim imagery (bodies on stakes, zombie children) and the sinister story of the Obsidian human experimentation and undead invasion, which is super fine by me and long may it continue (to get darker and dark, metaphorically speaking).

And I hope the next chapters go in a rather dark way as well...
