    *Goest to craft on Table*
WHAT do you MEAN I dont have any resources???

Oh, forgot to double click and hit take all, on that container on the floor next to my feet.

    hmmmmmm...

    *goes to forums*

-If the container is x distance from the station
-the container has an optional checkbox "assign to "insert name" crafting station?
-when checkbox is checked, crafting station will check said container as well as your pack.

This is a great idea, it would really remove a frustration factor from crafting.

There would be a greater risk of inadvertently using the wrong materials (metal type etc.), but it would add great convenience.

Awesome idea. Double internet points if it favors the box over your pack (because I really don't want to use my reagents for casting). Only issue I see is what about tables that can be used by others?

    Good point.

True.... But given the option to keep it as it is now - or - implement the OP's suggestion, I'd really welcome the ability for the station to look in that container.
Also, the issue of other's using the table could be resolved with the same type of "Permissions" for the table that exist for containers - would it not ?

I usually just drag the container into my inventory and place it back down when I'm done, saves sorting inventory when using take all.

Yea, but the problem with that is it looks in your main backpack first and only at the container in your inventory if it doesn't find what it needs in your main backpack.
I wish we could assign a container in our backpack as the one to look in first.

    Yes please.
I'd also like to have a designated "outbox" for the results to end up in.

Have they changed the behavior this last releases?
Otherwise last time I checked it goes first in containers and in alphabetic order, then in your general inventory.
So by naming your chest things like "111" they would end up first and would be picked from first.
