Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars... for mounts in episode 2

I am utterly dumbstruck.


Well, I was utterly dumbstruck when you guys did this last time, and then it failed incredibly horribly.

I'm not even sure how to describe what I'm feeling now.

 

I had hoped that mounts would have been an episode 2 system, and everything else would have been optional. Unfortunately, it looks like its only boats (since they are missing from the list).

But the amount could have been predicted; its exactly the same as it was previously.

 

Where can i find the stretch goals?

 

Under the same drop down menu where add-on store link is located.

I am not quite impressed that mount would not be incorporated as a default core feature in EP2.

 

Shouldn't be too bad with the amount generated each month, according to the finance filings. Unless its a separate funded stretch goal?... But eh... I figure it'll get put in eventually. A nice addition but wouldn't be on my top priorities, just a good chase reward.

 

I understood it needs to be 250k spent on the horses. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. And yes, if this is the case it is never going to happen.

 

If they ONLY show the horse goal until it is reached, and keep adding additional horse types and other items to the store (similar to Make-a-Difference Store) then it might get there.

Once they add another goal, or if they don't add more than 4 items to buy, yeah this will flop horribly.

 

We're already like, 10 percent of the way there.

 

Yes, but that includes all of the funding for this goal from it's original incarnation. Which tells you how well it went that time.

 

The stretched goal item selection is way too limited. There are only so many pets we can have per house lot. I don't know if we have enough players to buy here and there within the selection to meet 250k.

 

Where are:

• Stable signs
• Wagons and cart decos
• Non reskinned horse types (Clydesdale, Gypsy Vanner, Arabian)
• Hay bales
• Riding crop
• Riding hat
• Ladies side saddle
• Saddle blanket
• Rein deco
• Lance and pennant (deco, until mounted combat)
• Barding (dyable, heraldry)
• Jousting pennant lines
• Etc

 

To make the goal, add in Collectible Ponies:
Sparkle ponies
Rainbow ponies
Disco ponies
Rock n Roll ponies
Emo ponies

I'm joking but it could be a possibility

 

You'd think for 250k, mounts would have more utility than just "moving faster". =P

 

To be fair, it was right after the original funding, maybe like 2014 if I remember, and at the time the game wasn't as developed as it is now. Also it was competing with like, 4 other stretch goals.

Well, Dude... It's a "crowd" Funded game, so... I'm in for $10... I don't pay a subscription fee each month (paid like $24.95 for WoW, I forget), I'm more than happy to pay a little every month... It's voluntary...

 

The old mount stretchgoal store had riding outfits that made me think.
They should make a fox pet (that runs away from you).

 

Sure if they make dragons that chase you too

 

Perhaps they should make a point about the coconuts. Either that mounts are faster speedwise or they take them away, because otherwise that might be why it fails.

 

Well Richard did say it was a LONG stretch goal and he expected it would also require expanding the audience as well as new items. They don't expect to reach 250K tomorrow. But I also wouldn't say 'never'.
