In Search Of: Unicorns

I spent much of today looking for these mystical beasts and while I didn't find any, I did encounter a peasant named Kurt who taught me this:

 

Ha! As soon as I posted this, I find unicorns in the very next stag encounter.

 

I also had unicorns in a wolf encounter with lots of bears - but i only have seen black unicorns yet

What to do to see white unicorns ? and never tell me that my hard earned not-truth virtue is the reason

 

And what did you do with the unicorns?

 

I ran with them and yelled "yay, unicorns!"

[edit] I also tried to talk to one but it didn't have anything interesting to say.

 

I'll have to check wolf encounters to see if I can find dark unicorns.

 

Now my mind is at rest

 

maybe starbucks will bring back the unicorn drink this summer

 

Where was Kurt?

 

Kurt is in the mountains -

near Darkshire Hills (every 2nd or 3rd Stag encounter I take near there not the forrest but the hills southwest of the city- I see him dancing )

 

Encountered both dark and light unicorns in a stag encounter as well as Kurt there. Spin emote cannot be taught as a note.

 

I haven't been able to get unicorns in a long time. I go into the stag scenes and its always that same guy who trains that emote.

Forest Road Stag Encounters, I get them all the time, Light and Dark Unicorns. (Typically in the forest between Solace Bridge and Eastreach Pass)

 

Unfortunately, there was never actually an episode of In Search Of for unicorns.

Does it hurt your karma to kill animals that aren't aggressive ?

 

Normally, I don't think so but the Unicorns will specifically.

Oddly enough, there is a certain amount of AI to them. A Dark Unicorn Foal was being attacked by a Grizzly Bear, so I jumped in after the bear (careful not to hit the unicorn with any special attacks). After the fight, the unicorn healed itself and emoted (nods its head at you) and ran off.

Dunno about specific areas in the overland map having more than others, but the spot near Solace Forest that spawns encounters has them quite often when a Stag spawns.

 

I found two black foals and one adult unicorn in an encounter.
When attacked, one foal can come over and heal the one being attacked.
They also can heal themselves.
