unwearable plate helm of courage

i was following a thread about the plate helm, and how some people cant get it fixed, i am one. then the thread kinda went dead, i cant find any more info or seem to find anymore on this topic. Was wondering if there ever was a fix or am i just not finding the right thread post? its the last piece of the set would really like to have it together.

Your thread title here is "unwearable plate helm of courage" but in the body you say "how some people cant get it fixed".
Are you saying you can't wear it or you can't fix it ??

 

after you get the helm its called the unwearable plate helm of courage. i have done all the requirements and cant get the blacksmith in highvale outskirts to repair it. so its stuck in inventory and cant be used.

 

Did you retrieve the enchanted ore as well? I've already gotten all my virtue armor and companion gear, but may need more info to jog my memory on certain parts of the quest. Try these vids and see if it helps with a step you're missing.
