Joe, The issue seems to be that salvage will NOT remove the Banner on any bench

The pattern removes seem to be the solution for that I think

Have they fixed the heraldry banner salvage problem?

@DarkStarr, unless there is a very real financial or technical reason that I'm unaware of, could we not have a variant of the pattern remover for beer, wines and spirits barrels that recovers the pattern but does not remove the makers mark on the barrel?

I just can't get my head around the current cost to mark a single barrel when your batch runs of ales and spirits are usually large quantities of barrels which you would wish to mark as yours for sale or sharing and would add a very nice touch to player run bars, breweries and distilleries.

Stay tuned for R57 post in which we announce some changes to the numbers of the heraldry deco item numbers that are delivered (banners, casks, chest). HINT: We are going to increase them.

I have the same question. I got my In-game Blazon Submission unlocked via support and waited awhile - then I updated the blazon last month in the account settings and waited several weeks. It is now approved and shows in game next to all my pattern items. (awesome)

The trouble is, the original "short founder heraldry banner" that I put the original blazon on is non-salvagable, and I have not been provided any pattern-removers (or if I have, I have no idea where to find them - I've checked the account pages and claimed all rewards in game and they are not there), so I have no way to get my short banner back - it's the only deco I have that fits in the row house.

Anyone have any tips or does anyone know when the complementary pattern-removers will be available to those of us that had initial challenges with the tools?

The pattern removers are sold on the add-on store. I find it odd that eternal patterns need a pay for secondary item(pattern remover) to get them back; it doesn't seem very eternal to me.

One option for them that don't want to use pattern removers.
Get patterns from the rusty armours that drop (seems high chance to get patterns from them) and use that pattern to replace the eternal (that will then come out)

doesn't work on a "short founder heraldry banner" though. Doesn't the pattern type have to match the target object? I haven't seen any banner patterns drop.

I give up (again). I'm off to play something else until this process becomes clear to me.

All you need to do is salvage the item and you should automatically get it back. Paying for the remover is an option to also keep the item rather than destroying it.

you cannot salvage the banners. they are a textile item, not a tailoring item. you can only salvage tailoring items on the tailoring table. the banners specifically are why they hurried to put pattern removers in.

You dont have to, you can just salvage the item. It is eternal either way, as you always get it back.
