Believe me, i could write a million words about it - but simply, sincerely, loved it.

 

Would be cool if we could get this lore into the game somehow

Greetings all. I to would love to have more of the Ultima lore in SotA but it might violate legal agreements. I don't think those agreements cover user created content though. Publish a book and copy it. I bet you could even start a Ultima Lore section in Womby's bookstore. I know I would buy a copy of all the Ultima lore to put on my shelves.

I have a big thing about Ultima III and Sota

I even bought the U3 box set from 1983 to compare maps. Got a copy in fantastic condition.

 

Writing an interesting 100% unique brand new mage lord background character isn't tough, if you want a mage lord boss w/ a backstory just suggest it, don't suggest EA's IP specifically.

I like the story-less mage lord, the very first boss of UO, during the pre-alpha there was only 1 boss. Myndon the mage. Kill him and you get a fireball mace. Myndon was a cool mage, he had no backstory, he just existed at the end of a maze that began in the graveyard. When the UO engine was re-made they didn't bring Myndon back. But they did add a random wizard with a lady in a cage. Pretty much the first quest in 97 UO, the lady in the cage, let her out, kill the wizard, that's it, that was the only quest in UO. Spawned a lot more frequently back in 97, noticed it became a rare spawn later on, and rare blood tiles originated from this spawn.
