Is there a way to convert bronze, constantan, etc COTOs to gold ones?

check the player run coto exchange vendors. many of us will pay gold for them.

if you have a handful or more of them, let me know and i'll be happy to do a trade.

Unfortunately, I have looted just enough non-gold coins in 2 years to use them as deco on my kitchen table. :)

It is in the offline game that I would like to be able to convert them.

In the offline game, COTO drops are plentiful, but there is no one to trade with. I have loads of non-gold COTOs but everything I want to buy costs gold COTOs. So the non-gold COTOs aren't much use to me.:(

EDIT: I just purchased an Obsidian Potion of Capacity for one constantan COTO at the Obsidian Crown Merchant in Central Brittany (Offline game). The value of the potion is zero, and I can't sell it. So turning Crowns into gold doesn't work in the Offline game.

If I remember correctly all vendors will buy them at (200 gold each) in the Alechemy shop that sells all COTOs including gold at (2000 gold each) in Offline. Of course the rate of exchange is horrible but better than nothing or a pile just sitting in the bank. "At the rate they drop in offline I tend not to care that the rate is so bad"

So think about it this way.. for every 10 other colored one you have you can buy 1 gold one.

Huh. I was sure gold COTOs could be bought with 2 or 3 'lesser' crowns (online) but just checked the merchants in Central Brittany and indeed there is no such option. Was that changed or am I deluded?

Interestingly the note I got from one merchant 'Ways To Acquire Crowns of the Obsidians' says you can exchange any colour for either potions or gold COTOs, and also says "Gold Crowns of the Obsidians are unique in that they can be sold to any merchant in-game for gold" - I don't think that's been the case for a long time?!

Yes indeed, he was, but there are no other players in the offline game to sell them to.

I have’t seen that option offline, either. I’ve only seen the option to pay 2000g for a gold crown. Where is the exchange?

It is not an exchange really you sell the non gold ones to the magic shop then buy the gold ones - for every 10 other colored one you have you can buy 1 gold one.

That is the best you get.

tbh, just save the non gold COTOs and use them for major repairs of your gear when you have high value gear.

I get so many of them I save a couple for the potions and a couple for repairs then sell the rest and get gold ones.
