Building Village Lot Hedge Maze....help

I am considering building a village lot sized hedge maze to put my dungeon entrance in. I am not sure how many hedge pieces would be needed for a simple maze. If anyone could give me an idea i can get started on it.
Was gonna ask Minerva but cant seem to find a way to contact. I guess i can hunt her down in her town. LOL.
Any feedback would be great.

 

Depends really on the maze you want to create and the hedges you want to use. It can spread from 100 to deco limit.

 

Greetings @Belladonna Rose. What hedge are you using? A crafted one or one from the store Like the white flower hedge? I can loan you some pieces to get it built out and then you could return then as you get replacements. I would recommend using tall ones so no one can jump over it.

In Port Phoenix look at the "garden" village lot owned by Skutter Luchnyk.
Not really a maze, but you can see the various size hedges that were used.
The basement for that one is actually outside the interior of the lot, behind the two statues.

 

I am in QA testing this...bought some hedges from coto vendor. Tall hedges yes are required. Problem is i cant get those in live. I will have to craft what i need. And crafted ones are not as thin as store bought. Its not an intricate maze....but thought it would be nice for dungeon entrance. I think from my layout in QA i have an idea what i need. If it hadnt crashed i might of gotten a full count. LOL

 

Right now i am looking at 12 corners 4 long and about 15 med.....all talls. Oh and one gated. LOL. That cost me about 50 cotos....good thing that was on QA. LOL.

 

If you supply the materials, I can craft what ever you need. At least I think I have all those recipes.
If any of them are teachable, I will be glad to teach them as well.

 

You can also combine stone, plant, dead plants, etc. of hedges.

Serenite in Owl's Head has a magnificent building of crafted granite.
Their town also shows a lot of creativity in what can be done.

Thanks again for the offer Patrick. I have most of it done with crafted walls. A day or two and i should have it all together. Need to harvest more wood. Short about 200 wood...that should get me done. Its coming along nicely though. I kinda suck at the fine tuning of the walls but its at least working right now.

 

What i truly do not understand is this. When crafting the hedge wall...WHY is it not the same length and size as the store bought ones. Makes no sense. Height is fine....just the length is about half the size. And the so called corner hedge is not a corner at all...its just a 4 sided hedge post. Seriously annoyed at some of the perspectives between the crafted and store bought items. I know there has to be some difference to make them worthy to be 'store bought' but totally radical differences. Heck to get that extra length on the tall wall hedge i would gladly add the extra wood and plants to make it the proper length. LOL. Sorry...just venting about my building experience here. LOL.

 

The hedges in the store are fences. The hedges to craft are maze material and some abuse those hedges for decoration. the same goes with the walls.
It was never the intention to combine those 2.

its simple but it works. Have done a few more decorations since this pic but you get the idea. And i am quite pleased with it. Tons of wood and plants on this bugger but it was fun
