I'm having the same issue, and nothing is stacked. In that screenshot, they have nothing stacked, either.

The current Agriculture change has gone too far!

I won’t even go into detail of the impact on my village farm, except to say, that apart from beds being on granite blocks, there was ample room above to grow any plant (I have already put the beds & blocks into storage, so do not have any screen shots to illustrate my assertions)

Yes, I know that some players were manipulating the systems & were able to grow waay too many plants on their plots…

I get that & understand that it needed to be changed to balance agriculture.

    BUT…

On my house roof top, I believe I am playing by the new rules, but I am still nerfed/punished?

All of my plots are on floor level…. (all "accessible" spots have been watered in this pic *I watered the couple I had missed after this screen shot in open bed)

But it would seem that due to the architecture of my home, with a very slight decorative overhang, it renders 18 spots (whole beds) to be not tendable…
These plants/beds are on floor level, have access to light (& useless rain)

& have the “height requirement room” for growth… (even if the back row = closest to house/overhang contravened, the other spots in the bed, should be tendable)

But I now have 18 spots, that I cannot water? :(

I do understand the need for change, but I feel that my rooftop, does not & should not contravene the new parameters of this system.

I am sincerely disillusioned by this balancing/outcome that I feel, has gone too far….

including the roof of a greenhouse in a three story greenhouse row house, apparently. Because that's where my crops are in large and medium planter beds.. and none of them can be watered.

I had the same issue - was the hand of my scarecrow overhanging the bed

Planting inside greenhouses and on top of flat roofs is intended to still be supported. If you have specific cases where it's not working please report in bug forums.

It’s more than just watering. I cannot harvest my plants if they are underneath something. I have an Elven Keep (village) and I have mature mandrake alongside the keep. Underneath the towers I cannot harvest the mandrake.

It's very annoying. I have a garden I put countless hours into decorating. Now one planting bed has become useless because a nearby tree covers a tiny area of it (2 plants are under a branch of the tree). Another is unusable because of a scarecrow that has been places next to it. A third has the tiny tiny overhang from the low side of the tall barn stall covering not even the plants but just its border. I have to completely redecorate this garden. Please change this, it makes no sense!

Yes I just tried too and the planting beds imo have too much distance away from the wall. Perhaps recent changes to how they work did something. I will bug report it.

This "fix" needs to be reverted. Nice QC, Port. Scrap this mess and try again. This time you should consider prioritizing gameplay for those NOT gaming the system. Use a scalpel, not an axe.

Seems to be a common issue with their 'fixes'...

I'm pretty disappointed in all the problems I've run into in this release. Tried to have a fun evening of gaming Friday night and It's just, why do I bother

Agreed - with the nerf to The Rise I've spent the evening watching Netflix whilst sitting in my house

Yes, they need to do a roll back. Two sub par releases in a row and after 3 years my patience is wearing thin

Am beginning to wonder whether the reduced size of the dev team now is starting to have an adverse affect on this sort of thing ?
