Thank you ladies, but it's not just about me. Like I said this is a huge thing, it should be going in it's own thread and be "a thing".

If I were doing it I would recommend giving people a some time to see and get their request in and then doing a drawing.

And I would not have booked out 2020. There are new POT owners for ep2 that should be considered, in theory we'll be there by then and they need their moment in the sun.

Obsidian I really appreciate it but I can't accept. Again it's not about me specifically, even though I was disappointed. It's about making the sign-ups known and given people a chance to participate.

    Maybe let Sher have it?

And I do really respect and appreciate Avatars Radio. You all do an awesome job.

Well, to me, it's about community. I'm sure someone will want it @Vladamir Begemot . I'll be willing to give it to anyone in the community. So, @Amber Raine Leave me Oct. 2019 spot open for Vlad or anyone else. Should no one step up. The Evil Eye is available. As always. Cheers.

I can see why this would seem more fair, however many people may have reasons why they prefer specific month. And some might say that by being the first to notice and take their spot they cared the most. If there is more demand for spots than there are spots then there is bound to be someone unlucky no matter how fair the system put in the place seems to be.

And of course it is good to try to find a way that is least bad for everyone involved, but it is Avatars Radio event still. I cannot blame Amber or anyone for having a party in the same town year after year especially if the party is a success each year. And some towns have multiple beautiful locations, so it is almost as having a party at different place. And there is always an option to have your own event and ask for radio coverage and I am sure that the good folks at Avatars Radio will help you promote the event and if their schedule permits it they will even cover it. I suppose it is somewhat easier to become known during an established event, but really there are not that many events during releases and there is plenty of room to build your own name in some other way. And do not forget that there is always an option to try to get the spot another year, though the same is probably true for more people than there are months to a year.

TLDR: I do not think that missing a spot is that bad, it is an opportunity to think of something else and truly your own;)

    Thank you Net!

You are correct. There are 12 months in a year and over 200 POTs. However, Avatars Radio is *always* happy to promote, support, and even give live coverage to all sorts of events. From Parties with dancing to PvP tournaments with commentary. Even auctions and town meetings. If you have an event, Avatars Radio has you covered :) Release parties are just one event a month **and** there is no saying that any or all of these will have Darkstarr as a DJ...

That may be something else that is being missed by some... Darkstarr only does this while he has time to do this. It is in NO WAY mandatory for him to continue doing it. They started out with FireLotus, they then went with AR DJs doing it, then DarkStarr. Release Parties have been an Avatars Radio event, which just happened to have amazing talent behind the mic from the development team :)

    ONE SPOT OPEN!

Schedule for End Q4 2018 - 2019!! **UPDATED: Due to increased volume of interest in hosting a release party**

Similar to 2018 we will be taking people at a first come first served basis. If you have contacted me prior to now and I have stated you will have a party, please send me a PM in discord (find me at discord.me/avatarsradio) and confirm you are still interested. I have your names on a list but will require a confirmation that you are still interested as some people who have stated so in the past ended up leaving the game and we will need to get these filled. Those people will have until the end of October to reach me before they are released to other community members.

Any other parties requested for 2019 are now fully available...

Thank you for your support of Avatars Radio and continued support for Shroud of the Avatar! :D

    Rock On Community!!

Actually, I didn't realize this was an Avatars Radio only event. Because a developer DJs and it is direct celebration of the new release and is advertised on the Release stream, I thought it was a Portalarium event that Avatars Radio organizes. If that were the case, it should be a lottery so we don't hear the comments that you need to be in a certain 'circle' to host one. I've heard that one quite a bit. It should be a lottery every month, and if you've won in the past 12 months, you don't get to enter again. It should also be announced like the monthly lot lottery so people who have eligible PoTs can enter.

However, since it isn't an official Portalarium event, it can be done however Avatars Radio finds easiest. It is a private thing. Maybe other people can host different release parties, possibly at an opposite time of the Avatars Radio one, for people in different countries to attend. Though probably minus Darkstarr as a DJ.

EDIT: Actually, not just eligible PoT owners. Anyone who has property that wants to host a party. Not limiting it to only people who own PoTs would gain a lot of entries.

As much as we love to work along side our worlds creators and love having DarkStarr as a DJ ((no one more thrilled then me when he said yes I am sure but none the less)) it is a conjunction party.. and as much fun as that monthly lottery would be.. we have tried similar in the past and ended up not having a host at all.. this becomes a problem when we are ready to have a party and our host either is MIA or we don't have one.. so i started scheduling well ahead and then when the time approaches, i contact them to be sure they still want to do it.

I am more then happy to give the free spot to someone who has never hosted a party before.. that was kind of the idea as everyone should only have one release party per year, seems fair, and new POTs we would love to help bring you something that is fun and community celebrated!

As for Shers other idea.. We here and even at WRFB are thrilled to bring parties to you around the clock.. If the party is not on at the time of the Release party that would be fantastic .. Before, after, other side of the clock.. pretty sure we'd be thrilled to do it for you .. however as mentioned... it most likely would be without DarkStarr... not to mention the release party should DarkStarr ever decide he is too busy to DJ would indeed be DJ'd by one of our own DJs.. the release party would still happen.. but it would be one of us... like it was for almost 6 months :) ((and any time FireLotus couldn't do her set back in the day))

I do appreciate you all for understanding... I really would like to find a way that makes this seem fair to all.. and in no way care what "circle" you belong to... I'm a square in a round hole.. Everyone is the same to me and no "circle" is looked at better then anyone else.. At least not in my eyes..

So come, celebrate all the things, any time of the day, year, week, life on earth is too stressful, we're here in New Britannia to have fun!

For me, I don't think there is a 'circle', except for a circle of people who like to give their time to get involved in making things better. But it is a misconception some people have that would be nice to dispel. Though I don't know how, exactly.

For someone who wants to get involved, it can be hard the break into the way it has always been done.

I can agree with that.. which is one reason I have always asked people to let me know what is going on.. .Avatars Radio is here for the community and we're all about promoting it no matter who you are or where you are from.. You can be a single man POT / Guild or a 100 .. each Avatar is just as important as the next =D

in short, that is me agreeing with you :D

    Hello,

Checking in to see what is left for 2019 for a release party?

This past June some of us have made a request to reserve a slot for a release party slot in 2018. Just want to know how we go about doing this?

Cambria Stormlin was able to book a release party for da New Pitmuck (I still have to change my signature to reflect that there no longer any Sea Nymph Grotto :p) so I am not concerned about myself.

But for others who tried to get on the list early, like @Tailz , is October 2019 still open? I don't see any name filled in there. @Amber Raine is that month still open? Not sure how we got missed...

There was a post made for those who had "pre-requested" to contact me and get their confirmations in, these people are the names you now find on the list. As for October, this is still available thanks to Obsidian Tempest who stepped down from claiming it and instead will take a hallowe'en party. We will be tending to these issues differently in 2020. However, for now, this is the schedule we have for 2019. 2020 we will take *no* pre-requests and will open it up to new towns that have never gotten a party in the past before filling it with those who have had release parties.

    October is still available.

Thank you, Novia, for coming to celebrate Halloween with us in Immortal City! We had a ball at the Ball and hope you did too!

Special thanks to the judges, @Amber Raine, @GoldenWing and @John Gault (who??). Special thanks to my love, Drizzet Dragonfyre for running all the events, @Toff for building Chaotica and being such a fan-f******-tastic host and @Echondas for help with the Trick or Treaters for the first hour.

The Ball began as a pre-show outside in one of our graveyards to premiere a new mix called "Nightmare on Rezz Street" for 30 minutes before we started(check it out - so awesome!) and then we had a procession into Chaotica:
