I know one is coming I'm assuming some time after the NUE is sorted out, my understanding this will be the biggest to date. Any ideas when we could expect this? Population is dismal M-F and slightly better on the weekends, and I kinda like to see more people.

Also when's the F2P announcement coming I totally expect this at some point. Possibly with the new marketing push?

I was being snarky- there wasn't really much of a first one.

Gee, if only there were people personally invested in the success of the game who were familiar with multiple aspects of digital marketing....ah but I digress. :D

I'm hoping for a TV commercial, maybe during the nightly news hour when the nation is watching to drum up some users.

I'ma guess that'll probably cost an entire telethon's worth of income to pull off in even a handful of markets.

Maybe if you live in South Dakota.

In a state like Florida for example with 12+ media markets, the cost to run a weeks worth of advertising, during "prime time" hours, is around $3 million dollars per market. So do the math, to hit each market for one week that's $26 million dollars.

I cant imagine there will be another marketing campaign anytime soon. The amount of cash that went into the last one was very large and the results can't be quantified. With the amount of SotA related traffic on my machine since 2013, the fact that I have never seen a targeted SotA add is beyond insane. Port need something they can measure next time they market.

I think a short paid TV add would be the best. It works for all the major titles out there good and bad. Using social media marketing in my experience does not work as well. The issue with TV though is how to you broadcast it across all networks. That said I think once the dungeon stuff is completed and the launch of Ep2 would be most likely the time for the push and or just before Christmas seeing there is a box to put under the tree now :)

Theres one coming soon a better one than originally went out, you can find reference to this in the r56 live stream and again on the blood bay channel. Specificaly mentioned was after nue work was done... well they have been grinding on nue stuff hard latley.

You have my vote, maybe the community could put their Christmas spirit together to raise money for a commerical during one of this year's prime time Christmas specials?

Is the target market still watching broadcast television?

I saw the first one, A LOT. But only because Port for some reason decided when they ran FaceBook ads they also wanted them to show up on people's feeds who already liked their page. So I was seeing upwards of 10+ SotA ads each and every day.

The amount of money they spent showing ads to people who already liked the page had to have been enough to buy a house. Considering they probably accelerated the ads (why I saw so many in a cluster) and when FaceBook looked for people to target, it targeted the people who liked the page first.

They paid FaceBook with our own money to let us know about the game we already paid for.

If one of my employees did that to me, I'd fire them, rehire them just to fire them again.

YouTube is where you'd want to run the ads, YouTube is TV for anyone under the age of 40

And for one 65-year-old I know who is bummed that golfing season is over for him until spring. At least it keeps him busy so I can play games...

Sounds like a waste of money. RG playing the game from the beginning in a 24 hour twitch stream with a couple of retweets would sell copies of the game. Unless the game was terrible and he didnt like it.
