you catch them. ..at least minnows, pale leeches, and drudge leeches that i know of. maybe earthworms are a rare drop from clay?

 

Thanks Alley. Do you get a decent "return" from catching them or is it like one or two?

 

I found leeches in swamp areas. Just have to find areas that are deep enough though.

someone in universal chat just got a "hopper" from cotton.

edit: i just got hopper from 4 cotton in a row in north fetid swamp. T4 swamp area.

 

I got a minnow out of fresh water.

 

I wish I could see @Winfield's face when he realises I fished out all the catfish in PaxLair waters

Though I must say I am really impressed how clean the waters of PaxLair are, have not fished any old boots yet.

 

I don't want us to be able to buy all of them. I was really wishing for a daily that gave some of the baits as a reward after you catch the fish of the day. But maybe one day.

 

Been having a blast fishing today....joined a group in Solace Bridge outskirts and had so much fun fishing down the beach with them....although i think some of them were trying to steal my fish spots. LOL. Now they just need to get the trophy recipes in for the named fishes so i can hang them up on me walls.

 

So, some fishes you catch are just raw materials, and some are weighted prize fish ?

However both have raw material, but only some have weights and dates.... I'm confused.

I went to a fishing supplies merchant, expecting to maybe get a few of the new baits.

Nope. Nothing but useless salmon bass and trout.

Shouldn't the fishing supplies merchants have like, fishing supplies ?

*edit* Okay Eve Moonflower in Yew has something. That's a start I guess.

 

I would also like to say, we need to rethink the dragging the baits to the non-combat bar for fishing.

We have a very limited amount of space and having to drag and replace my fishing icon to fish for different fish using baits seems rather clunky atm.

 

If the new bait will be Player sold, that’s fine with me.

 

I am sure someone will start compiling a list so here is what I know

My favorite location East Longfall wetlands is too shallow in most places .. they need to dredge that area .. it makes me sad ... (along with other swamps) cannot fish not deep enough, a couple spots though in ELW though but the whole thing is water you cannot fish in .. sad panda

I caught herring in Ectceter which then I used to catch a marlin
Not got anything good from hoppers there yet
But etceter is salt like probably brit wharfs elads and some others I assume, so got mahi mahi, the wahoo mackeral and the normal stuff
OF course now because of FORCED multiplayer you get to compete for fish there with the rest of the freaking world. (yeah that was passive aggressive disgust)

Mysterious Swamp in Hidden Vales is nice for fetid for carp, tilapia , sharptooth catfish, pale leech etc

I'd much rather that we had a fishing pole in one hand and bait in the other..... and then just used a fishing skill icon like everything else..

I'd also like to walk around with my fishing pole showing and my tackle / bait box in the other... so people can see i'm fishing...

 

Who knows, it may be that they'll have a recipe to cook up those trophy fish into some special meal.
